Chapter 1
Alissa walked down the sidewalk, it had rained earlier in the day so everything was wet from the rain. A yawn escaped her mouth, tired from her work at a restaurant in downtown Chicago called, Morton's The Steak House, and she worked from one thirty-p.m to nine thirty-p.m, an eight-hour shift, which was normal for her. As Alissa continued to walk she saw the entrance of a dark alley up ahead, she knew that it could be dangerous to walk at night especially to go into dark allies, but she was tired and thought that it'd be a quick and easy short cut, she didn't' even think twice about entering the alley. As she entered the alley she stopped dead in her tracks and her light green eyes landed on two men, one man was cowering in fear shaking terrified, the other man was standing tall muscles ripping his body, him wearing a black shirt, dark jeans, and a leather jacket, and he was holding a gun pointed at the cowering man. Alissa couldn't get herself to move or say anything, she stayed completely frozen in shock, and she watched helplessly as the man with the gun slid his finger to the trigger and pulled it. A few seconds later a loud bang echoed in the alley and the cowering man was on the ground, blood spilling out from the head wound, he was for sure dead. Alissa finally was able to gasp in complete horror and shock, and her gasp echoed throughout the alley, and into the man-with-the-gun's ear, and he spun around his gun still in his hand and his cold blue eyes landed on her. She froze when his eyes landed on her, and that's when her body finally allowed her to move, and something inside of her screamed run and that's exactly what Alissa did. She spun around and ran as fast as her legs would carry her, she managed to get out of the alley but only a few feet before she was tackled to the ground. She hit the sidewalk hard and hissed in pain, she was flipped over and she met the face of the-man-with-the-gun, and she started to panic. Alissa struggled to get free, but her struggles did nothing and only caused the-man-with-the-gun to pin her to the ground harder. He made sure to cover Alissa's mouth with his hand so that she couldn't scream and cause unwanted attention.
"Looks like you've seen something you shouldn't of, princess." He said in a chilling tone, and Alissa looked up at him with wide glossy eyes, full of terror and panic. The-man-with-the-gun took his gun and Alissa's heart began to race, he's going to kill me, she thought to herself frantically, but to her suprise, he wasn't planning on killing her, yet at least. He took the head of the gun and hit her temple hard, and Alissa went unconscious quickly. She laid limp on the sidewalk, and the-man-with-the-gun sighed to himself before standing up and brushing off imaginary dirt and then picking Alissa up and throwing her over his shoulder. He looked around to make sure no one was watching or had witnessed what had happened and once he was sure no one had he walked back into the alley. He looked down at the dead corpse and sighed a bit irritated and then pulled out his phone and dialed a number. The phone rang in his ear for about thirty-seconds before someone picked up.
"Ya, I need you to come down and clean up for me." He said into the phone in a firm demanding tone, that no one would dare to cross, and the person on the phone waited a few seconds without saying anything.
"Yes Boss, I'll be over in ten minutes." The person on the other end said before the-man-with-the-gun hung up and slipped his phone back into his pocket. He looked at his shoulder to see Alissa laying there and he sighed to himself before walking out of the alley and walked on the sidewalk, disappearing in the night's darkness.
