Chris's POV

478 Words
Her eyes were like emeralds, her hair like silk auburn. We talked ever other day, it seemed like she was busy most of the time. I'd purposely go to the cafe just to see her. I may not know her fully but I do know she is a good person. Today seemed different than other days, she looks happier. I wonder why. "Hey, guess who!" she tapped my shoulder, I turn to look at her. God her smile it's so cute. "Hey, girl! How's it going?" That sounded kind of weird, I need to get her name today so don't keep calling her girl. Why didn't I do that when we first met. Man I can be so stupid sometimes. I'm surprised she keeps talking to me after all this time. "It's going well I got a job! Hey, I got a question for you." Oh no did I do something wrong? "Shoot." Not the best choice of words but alright let's see where this goes. "I never got your name, do you mind telling me?" Phew, she's just asking me about my name. Thank God. I thought I did something. "It's Chris, Chris Everett, and I never caught yours." Now's my chance! "Rose, Rose Wylder." That's beautiful. It fits her so well. "Well, Rose would you like to get some coffee?" please say yes. "Of course! And some cake because I got a job today!" How cute she's celebrating. she's the sweetest person I've ever met and I don't meet a whole lot of nice people anymore. "So, what are your plans for today? Same as usual?" Maybe we can get to know each other more today than we usually do. "I'm not sure yet, I haven't planned anything yet. Would you want to do something?" she smiled brightly at me. "Yes, I would. What do you have in mind?" I'm curious as to where this is going. "Well there's this garden I go to every day, would you like to go?" I looked at her in awe. "The public garden?" Though no one goes to it anymore, except her it seems. "Yeah, it's nice and sunny outside. I usually work on the garden considering how overwhelming it is these days." "What was the garden called?" For the life of me I can't remember the name. Considering it's been covered by vines over the years. "Well, it was called Fates Garden due to the stories that were told about it for centuries. But I think the town wants to change it since no one goes there anymore." Sadness crosses her face. The sparkle in her eyes fades from view. I can see she has a love for this garden, and has hope that they don't change the name. Although I've never been I'll fight for her and the garden to stay the same as it's always been.
