Last Night

Melissa woke up with a pounding headache. When she opened her eyes she realized she was not looking at the ceiling of her childhood bedroom but of a strange apartment she didn't recognize. She whipped her head around to see the sleeping figure beside her. Oh s**t how was she going to get out of here without waking him? She slowly rolled herself out of bed and tiptoed to the bathroom. From the doorway, she peeked back out at the man. She thought his name was Jake or something like that. He had one well muscled arm slung across his eyes and was snoring with his mouth open. It was oddly endearing to see.  With one last longing glance at his amazing body, she closed the bathroom door. Melissa ran her fingers through her amber hair, trying to make herself presentable while she replayed the night in her mind. The night had started with her old classmate, Leanne Brown, and her going to the local bar for appetizers and a drink. After Lea left for the night, Melissa had decided to stay and continue drinking in an effort to forget that Taylor hadn't shown up for their flight that morning.  By the time Jake walked in with his tan chiseled body and dirty blonde hair, Melissa was feeling bold enough to approach him. One thing led to another and now she was hiding in his bathroom in her underwear. Melissa knew she didn't have much choice at the moment, she was going to have to call Jeremy. There was no way she was calling her parents to pick her up from a man's house after she was out all night drinking. Her brother was sure to give her a hard time but at least he wouldn't tell their mom and dad what she had been up to. Melissa threw on her clothing and was almost out the door when she tripped over her own shoes. She looked up to see the amused expression in Jake's whiskey colored eyes. Damn his eyes were breathtaking. “Good morning, beautiful," he called to her from the bed. Her breath caught and she was finally able to squeak out, “well, thanks.. I gotta go, uh bye!" Melissa almost sprinted out the door and dove into Jeremy's car. Her brother looked surprised for a moment, not moving. “Drive!” Jeremy began laughing and asked, ”That bad, huh?”
