Ouch! Something struck her in the thigh, waking her up. Melissa opened her eyes and panicked, not recognizing where she was. As her mind cleared, she took in her surroundings. Her heart stopped racing when she realized she was still at Abby’s house. She had fallen asleep during the movie.
Melissa turned her head and saw the twins fast asleep on either side of her. One of them must have kicked her in their sleep. She sighed and laid back with relief. Alissa’s elbow was pressing into her bladder and she desperately needed to get up. Not wanting to wake the kids, she slowly extracted herself from the tangle of their limbs.
