He tapped the key card against the sensor and heard the lock click open. He pushed open the door and was hit by a wave of hot air. The maid service must have turned up the heat while he was out. He needed to remember to put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on his door next time, he didn’t want them coming in and finding anything they shouldn’t.
The man walked over to the thermostat and turned it down before opening the paper bag from the deli. He had worked up an appetite that day. The last two days had been busy, he had gotten all the shots he needed though. It was tough, between Melissa running back and forth to help get her friend ready for the wedding and Jake’s sporadic work schedule. He had barely gotten the evidence he was looking for.
