Lolita narrowed her cat eyes. “So, why is a nice girl like you in a dump like this?” Lolita asked. “I thought you were working at some fancy lodge in a national park.”
“I am. I was. I’ve probably been fired by now.” Jessica blew her tangled bangs out of her eyes. “Why didn’t you call to tell me you were in Montana?”
“Montana’s a big place, and I’m still a long ways from your neck of the woods. Anyway, I’m not done here, and I wasn’t sure when I’d make it over to Glacier. How’d I know you’d come looking for me?” Lolita winked.
“I’m looking for my roommate. Her sisters were kidn*pped by some friggin’ human traffickers. They’re prostituting out young girls from the Blackfeet Reservation to service those bastard oil workers. Now, she’s disappeared. We’ve got to find her.”
