“Yes, my parents left this house.” She responded as she opened the door of the car. He is always cold to me. Why is he so sweet to this woman? The driver thought as he glared at his boss in the window review mirror. “You haven’t told me your name,” Grayson inquired. “Olivia.” She responded as she shut the door. It was 8 p.m., and Grayson had not arrived from work. Emily spent half of the day shopping with Grayson’s mother. She bought her new clothes and took her to a café. Emily was craving sweet food because she was pregnant.
When they returned to the mansion, Florence allowed her to take a nap in her room. Emily was four weeks pregnant, but her belly was not visible. She took out his phone and sent Olivia a video of herself and Grayson having intimacy. She always envies Olivia because of Grayson. Her mother also wanted her daughter to be with a rich husband like Grayson. She is the one who helped Emily to betray Olivia. “I can’t wait to get married to Grayson,” she said to herself. Suddenly, her phone rang, and she quickly picked it up. “Mom, how are you doing?” She inquired. She stood and walked to the mirror. “I am alright, Emily, and you?” Macret asked. She was sitting in the living room watching TV.“Everything is okay, Mom,” Emily responded, massaging her belly that was still not showing. How is your relationship with Gray going?”
“Our plan has worked. Olivia was kicked out with the divorce papers. He even informed his uncle about marrying me. I hope Gerry doesn’t cause any trouble. I told him about my pregnancy.” Emily signed. “You made the right decision to leave him. He wasn’t going to be able to take care of your baby,” Macret said, as she smiled. “Thanks to god, I was able to manipulate Grayson; now he thinks I am carrying his baby. But I am scared. What if he finds out that I am not carrying his child?” Emily whispered as she began to comb her hair. “No, he won’t find out. We need to make Gerry disappear before you and Grayson get married.”
Olivia woke up to her phone buzzing. Two messages, one from Emily and the other from an unknown number. She opened the one from Emily first. She sent her their video with Grayson having intimacy. Olivia could feel her heart being ripped apart. She thought of a way she could kill herself to end this pain. Tears streamed down her cheeks, and her pillow became wet as if it were soaked in water. She attempted to open the second message. Meet me at 345 Elm Street at 9 a.m. She checked the profile of the person who sent the message. It was Mr Haven. She forced herself to take a shower.
After cleaning herself, she looked at the time and realized that she was late. It took her ten minutes to get a taxi. The taxi driver came to a halt at the address that Olivia had told him. The driver noticed Olivia was sobbing in the review mirror. The taxi driver shook his head. Everyone has one battle or another they are fighting. He didn’t know what was eating up such a beautiful woman, but he knew she looked troubled and lost.
“Mam we are here.” Olivia didn’t respond. Her eyes were outside the car, but it seemed as if she was drawn into her thoughts. The driver called out again louder. “Ma'am, we arrived.” She suddenly jerked out of her thoughts and looked embarrassed. She cleaned her tears and got out of the car quickly. Olivia gave the driver the money and got out of the car. In front of her was a mansion that was styled with high-tech security, with a large gate with an H monogram.
It was surrounded by vineyards. Ethan’s butler opened the gate and welcomed Olivia. When she got inside the mansion, she found Ethan on a call, facing the other way. Her body became stiff when she noticed Ethan’s figure. He dropped the call and faced Olivia. “Take a seat, Olivia,” Mr Haven said as he sat down. “Morning, Sir, I am sorry I am late,” Olivia said quietly, her heart racing and her body trembling. She said quietly. Ethan instructed Veronica to hand her the uniform to her. “What is this for?” She inquired as she stared at the blue and white uniform.
“I got you a job. You will work for me as my maid,” Ethan responded. “Why a maid? I thought I was going to work at your restaurant.” She hesitated, her grip tightened. “Don’t tell me you don’t know how to cook and clean,” he folded his arms, and a faint smile appeared on his face. He knew that Olivia was not used to cooking and cleaning, but it seemed as if Grayson wasn’t taking care of her. She needed money. “How much will I earn?” She inquired. “ USD 5000 per month, but I will double it if you stay here."
