It felt as if I had been detached from my body, living a whole life in just a short amount of time. When I finally returned, it felt like lightning shot through me, and my whole body jerked before the real world slowly came back into focus. First, the noises reached me. I could hear people talking and a small beep, and then I felt the pain. It was like my entire body was on fire. Everything hurt, and I wanted to ask someone to help stop it, but my voice didn’t work.
