-Amber- Pain shot through me, dragging me slowly back to consciousness. Groaning, I felt a pounding in my face, like I had a second heartbeat pulsing in my cheek. I had no idea how much time had passed, and for a moment, I forgot all about the terrible night. Then it all came rushing back. I opened my eyes and sat up quickly, too quickly.
