Wandering through the garden, I enjoyed finally being out of the room. Unfortunately, I wasn’t completely alone. Xander and Silas were trailing behind me.
“Well, well. You’re out earlier than I thought,” someone remarked.
I turned and saw Everly had appeared. She was no longer in a suit but in dark leather pants and a black crop top, flaunting her incredible figure. She walked toward me, smiling and sniffing the air.
“You still smell quite good, though,” she said with a grin.
“Not that good or Ronan wouldn’t have let me out of the room.”
“Fast heat?” she inquired.
I shook my head. “No heat.”
Her eyes widened. “He stopped it?”
“He did.”
A smug smile appeared on her lips. “Now why would a male ever do that?”
