We were all eating together in the evening. The conversation around the table was nice and relaxed, but I didn’t join in. I sat beside Ronan on his left side, while Everly sat in front of me. Everyone was chatting and sharing stories, and I couldn’t help but notice how close-knit they all were. They truly were like a family, weren’t they? It made me wonder… had I ever had one? A family. The loneliness I had always felt seemed to grow bigger, and it made me lose my appetite. Of course, the king didn’t allow me to skip meals. So every time I paused, he would discreetly push my plate closer to me, encouraging me to continue, while he kept chatting with the others.
