Kennedy POV I couldn’t breathe. My whole body trembled beneath him, the weight of Mr. Beckett pinning me down as my mind screamed for it to stop. I squeezed my eyes shut, bracing for what was about to come—too terrified to fight anymore, too numb to cry. I felt his hot breath near my ear, his hands tightening— And then… He was gone. The pressure vanished. I gasped, sucking in air like I’d been underwater for too long. My heart slammed against my ribs. I scrambled back on the floor, shaking and wide-eyed.
