WildFlower Episode 1- Chapter 1 Tahlia's POV I patted my cheeks with powder before the glassy polished mirror I sat infront. My husband- Issac River was in the steaming shower in the room behind, babbling on about some political event. He talks about the influence it will have on the stock market and raised his own excitement. I listened, now looking at my gorgeous reflection. I was almost ready when I finally decide to take a look at myself and the mess I got myself into because of love. I was bankrupt. Suddenly my husband rushes out the bathroom all wet and giggly; it makes me smile, just a little. "Oh wow. You look stunning my love." He says with please ans approval on his face. he kisses my cheek and walks to the walk in closet to attain his suit. "Are you wearing Green as well?" I asked, knowing how forgetful he can be, continuing to adorn myself in white pearl jewelry. "Green? I believe we discussed to wear pale yellow my dear." He comes from behind the wall in a pale yellow suite with the usual white dress shirt and black shiny dress pants. He was handsome as always, however I was not pleased. "Issac. we spoke about this last week. we agreed on Green. I- why are you wearing Yellow?" I raised from my cursive chair, letting my gown drape and fall. His eyes feasting on my beauty. "love. I may have mixed up the wrong conversation. I apologize-" he comes closer but I step away, feeling like this is a pattern. whenever it came to us going out, he would always manage to get me upset before we even step foot into the event. whether it was in the car, at home- in the shower or at the door; he never failed to say or do something to provoke me. Most times it appeared accidental, but all the time? He sees that I am displeased and leave me to my emotions. I wasnt surprised and so i headed out into the massive living space of couches and foot rests; blue and deep white drapes sweep across the polished floor. "Its almost 7:00pm on the clock Mrs. River." The mansion keeper says with a piece of note and handed itn to me. I look at it to read the location of where I was headed along with Issac. He claimed to have visited the place many times before, saying it belonged to his grand mother. "only 30 minutes?" I sighed and Malissa nods and walks away. I turn around to find Ossac stepping around the corner fixing his watch onto his wrist. I admired his audacity from where I stood before I followed him through the . "let's go My dear." He gently gestures. ~~~~~At The LockWood Mansion~~~~~ The ball room was full after the sun had set, glasses clang against one another as other wealthy acquaintances exchange their cheerful greet and make celebration. I remained beside Issac's side meeting his fellow coworkers. I came to learn he was also head of the office; why didnt he tell me that? was he hiding that? I drift away from his grip but he was too focused on his conversation to notice; because suddenly I found myself marching up to the woman that wore a pale yellow dress that hugged her curves sightly. Her heels alone were enough to draw attention. "Tahlia?" Issac calls and I spin to find him catching up to me. "whats wrong?" Stopping my on my absurd mission; what really would I have done or said? "who's that woman?" I didn't care to think before I questioned. His eyes strike to the woman and he looks a little confused. "I have no idea." He pulls me to the corner, and touches my face. "I am sorry I wore the wrong suit Tahlia, but this is a very important night for me and I cant have your attitude taking my attention away from that-" "Issac are you serious right now?" I pull away from him. "You have dug us into a damn ditch. I am here because you want to dismiss the fact that we owe 3 million in debt by feeding your absurd delusion. I- I had to call your damn brother! And what makes it worse is that you're the floor head!? and I didnt even know?" I finally explode under his guilt trip. He no longer looks like he's having a good time and I sighed. "Hes coming tonight. You'll have to discuss this- this problem to him. Let him pull you out your own ditch again." I added. "why the f**k would you call that man!? Him out of all people?" He steps closer and I watch the busy crowd, hoping no one would take interest in our very intense conversation. "Don't raise your voice at me Issac." He was very much upset and unsettled. "We have- had, no choice. He manipulates the markets for Christ's sake." I whispered in truth. "Why the hell didn't you discuss this with me first. You just like to watch me fail huh!?" He looks displeased at me and I roll my eyes and go to walk away but he grabs my arm and pulls me back to the wall. "Issac- do you reslly believe that?" He was taking this out of control. This is why I didnt want to phone Dayne. I promised to myself I never would because of this exact reaction. However, Three million in debt towards the stock market and other institutes left me no other choice. I knew Issac would have been too stubborn to admit he needed the help and before it got worst or even public, we needed the family to know from us. He would disagree; believing he had it all under control. He did. Way before he got greedy. "Stay away from Dayne, Tahlia. Don't have a word to say to him. Do you understand?" His masculinity shows in fear and protectiveness. "I told you, that you have nothing to worry about with me and him. I love you. He can't and won't change that Issac." I attempted to reassure but he just shakes his head in displease. "Why did you keep your promotion from me?" The first question slips through my thoughts and pass my lips. I remained standing under him waiting for a response. The man I always felt comfortable around, suddenly shifts that. "Its nothing too big. I knew you were so focused on preparing for your big interview. I figured I would have told you after it. But with everything going on, it slipped my mind to mention." "who'd you celebrate with?" I knew my husband quite enough. After every achievement is a drink. And behind every drink after the 4th shot of alcohol is a flirtatious charmer. "what?" "who'd you celebrate your promotion with Issac." "The team, Tahlia. we're not doing this here." Issac fixes his suit in misery and takes my hand. "Go to the car and wait for me. Give me 10 minutes." Also over the event, I agreed. I followed behind him as he lead me through the crowd, his hand tight in mine. ~~~~~~~Returned To Home~~~~~~~ I still wore my dress, unable to take it off and get comfortable for bed as Issac do. He hardly speaks, mostly saying a single word and expecting me to understand. "Are you not going to talk to me?" I asked simply as I sat there watching him now unbutton his dress shirt. "Can I not think? f**k, everything is so-" He looks at me. "I need a drink." Sttessed. Defeated. "no. we need to talk. When will you go see him-" "I dont want you anywhere near that man Tahlia. I don't think you understand. Me going to see him does just that." He says under threat and I can't help but be between two feeling; protected yet Trapped.
