The gang make there where through the jungle trail trying to reach the check in station. Chelsea looks at her smart watch. It's almost 4 AM. Good in a few hours they will have sunlight at least. They walk together hand in hand the jungle is a scary place especially at night. But they are more afraid of the monster that's out there somewhere lurking, stalking, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Daylight begins to break. Chelsea can see the station. Her heart feels with excitement for a brief moment she thinks they will be ok... But there it is again, that eerie silence that's consumes the entire jungle. They hasten there steps. Almost there! They get within feet of the entrance then Chelsea's dad comes to an immediate halt. What, what is it dad? she ask. There is a small noise right in front of them. And then they feel a warm breeze. No not a breeze. It's a breath. Seemingly out of nowhere the huge colossal snake appears before them from on top of the station. Was it lying in wait there for them this whole time? And how? How can such an enormous beast hide itself so well. It's almost like it was invisible to the naked eye. But not anymore. The giant snake slowly brings forth its head off of the roof of the station. Once invisible snake, now sends terror and panic into the hearts of everyone in front of it.
Chelsea brother drops his phone and when he does her mom immediately turns the other way to run. Chelsea screams, but before the sound can even exit her mouth in an instant the snake strikes grabbing her mother coiling itself around her while dragging its body back atop of the roof. The snake releases its jaws from her mother's chest. There is a lot of blood as the snake flickers its tongue out from its bloodied mouth while closing its massive jaws filled with rows of razor sharp looking knives for teeth. Suddenly Chelsea's dad screams and throws whatever he can find at the snake. But the snake doesn't even seem to notice or care. The gang can only watch in utter terror as the giant beast tightens its coils suffocating the life out of Chelsea's mom right before their very eyes. And once she has drawn her last breath the snake opens its mouth so incredibly wide and in one motion has Chelsea's mother's whole upper half already down its throat. There is nothing they can do. The snake is out of reach and even if it wasn't what could they do other then become its next meal. Chelsea's dad realizes they are helpless. So he whispers to them, We have to get inside. We have to hurry while its distracted. Distracted?! Chelsea cries out. That monster is eating my mom. Is that all she is is a dist...
Before she can finish her sentence her dad grabs her hand and gives her the saddest most heartbroken look, but in his eyes she can see the complete terror. She realizes through that look of terror in his eyes that they might not make it. She grabs his hand back and cries heavily while grabbing her brother. They slowly make their way to the entrance. Just focusing on making it to that door. Chelsea looks up. The snake is all the way down to her mother's thighs now in the process of swallowing. Oh no! We don't have much time! She squeezes her brother and fathers hand and walks faster taking lead. Almost there. Just a little bit closer. Yes we made it! She turns the door knob and pushes it open she let's her brother go in first. She pulls her dads hand, but he suddenly let's go. Come on dad she says as she turns around. Golden eyes pierce into her very soul it seems. She is petrified, frozen solid. The snakes tongue flickers touching her lips and eyes with its forks. She feels its hot breath, it's as if she is looking into the eyes of a mythical dragon.
Her dad yells out, Chelsea take care of your brother! Hurry up go inside close the door! She can't move. He punches the back of the snakes neck. But it doesn't flinch. No it continues to flick its tongue tasting Chelsea. She is to afraid to even breathe it seems. But then all at once the snake jerks back and strikes so hard it ends up tearing Chelsea's dads head clean off! Its coils wrap around him and almost in an instant the entire giant snake comes off the roof onto the ground right in front of Chelsea. It squeezes already dead and decapitated man. But it gazes deep into the eyes of Chelsea. See is still unable to move. The snake flickers its tongue and draws towards her while still holding her dads lifeless body. It slowly opens its gaping jaws. She can see its enormous wind pipe opening and closing as the colossal beast breathes in and out. Opening its mouth wide she can sees all the rows of bloody backwards facing teeth in its mouth like rows of knives. Its gonna eat me. I can't move, I can't do anything! The snake is close enough for its long forked tongue to just barely graze her eyelids. It's over! Suddenly her brother grabs her arm and screams Chelsea! He yanks her towards the door. She snaps out of her daze and quickly runs in slamming the door behind them. They lock the door and she looks through the peep hole. The snake brings its monstrous head right to the door it flicks its tongue a few times then it turns around and focuses on its prey. She already had to watch her mom get eaten, she won't watch her dad to.
She gets away from the door and immediately blocks it and starts looking for windows or any opening she might need to close and or block. The giant snake devours its prey. Then it once again seems to just disappear into the brush. The jungle comes back to life. Inside Chelsea makes her way to radio in the office of the station. She calls into the Tour places headquarters. She finally gets ahold of someone. She tells them her surreal encounter. But they don't take her serious, no they think it's just a hoax. That is until she tells them there has been casualties. Please, please you have to send help! Please before it gets us too. She pleads. They tell her just to stay bunkered down in the station help is on the way. Send a lot of them! she says and please be careful its it's a monster!
Bang! There is a noise at the door. No the snake is back. It is trying to get in. The two hide and close the office door. They remain still and quite while they listen to the noise. Bang! Bang! Clank! Clank! It sounds like keys. Suddenly the door opens as the female ranger walks in with her gun drawn. I know your in here come out with your hands up! I am a park ranger I have a gun if you don't want me to shoot you I suggest you come out with your hands up. Chelsea hears the voice of the woman. She quickly opens the door. Please, please you have to help us. It killed and ate my mom, dad and uncles. Please don't shoot! The ranger is surprised to see the Chelsea come out from the office. She sees the real fear in Chelsea's eyes. She quickly holsters her side arm. It's ok! she says. It's ok, I'm here to help! Chelsea runs into her arms grabbing her and begins crying hysterically. It, it killed them! She cries. The ranger grabs her and tells her You have to tell me everything! Just what happened here? Are you alone? No Chelsea replies my brother he's hiding in the office. We thought you were... Were what? the ranger replies. We thought you were that giant snake. Giant snake? the ranger thinks to herself. So the guide wasn't lying there is really a giant anaconda? And its responsible for all this for that decapitated head outside? Listen! the ranger tells Chelsea, Your going to be ok now! But I need you to tell me everything everything that has happened, ok? Chelsea wipes her eyes and sits down and she begins her extraordinary tell about the monster snake that has been hunting them for days now.
So you first saw the snake in the sss river when y'all encountered that caiman I found dead? Wow, that is hard to believe. And your sure it's not green? Well there are times when the anaconda will lose its green coloration and appear almost black. I'm sure it is just a really big anaconda. But I must say until I see it I can't believe it's as big as you say. The ranger tells Chelsea. Let's just hope you have to take my word for it, Chelsea replies back, I don't ever want to see that thing again!
The 3 settle in and eat then get ready for to sleep. Chelsea and her brother are tired they've had a long day and their mind and bodies are at their limits. So they sleep. It's late something has awoken the ranger. What is that sound? She hears it again it's like something is rubbing against the side of the building. It stops. She hears something move on the roof. Just what is going on? She gets up and grabs her sidearm. Well if it's the snake, I have to see it with my own eyes. She c***s her gun then heads on out the door.
It's dark, but the moon is giving off just enough light to see mixed in with the few lights the building has outside. The noise is gone now. But just what was it? She continues to look around the building, she doesn't see anything. But that doesn't mean she hasn't been seen. Just above her in the forest canopy something stalks her in absolute silence. Watching her every move, it stays close by just out of her sight. It slithers slowly through the canopy. There something, movement just ahead of me right on the edge of the trail. Something is in the bushes. She closes in, but there is nothing there. She turns on her flash light and probes into the thick shrub. Nothing there, nothing here. Oh well, guess I'm a little on edge! Oh crap! I don't think I closed the door all the way. I better go back before those kids wake up and have a heart attack. She turns around and goes to walk. She notices a few leaves falling in front of her from the canopy. She looks up and shines her flash light. There is nothing... Or wait! Her flashlight reflect off of of what the hell is that? It looks like the canopy is alive. What on earth am I looking at? It appears to move, she looks at it then comes to the realization that she is looking at scales and the massive girth of an enormous snake. Once she realizes it the snake seems suddenly pop out of its camouflage. What was almost invisible is now a giant beast right above her in the canopy. Its barely moving. Is it asleep? I need to get inside and fast. She turns off her flashlight and tries to quietly walk away. Keeping her eyes on the snake above her.
She continues to walk. She makes it out from underneath the snake. She picks up the pace a little. Once she makes it about 15 feet away she turns back and looks up to make sure the snake is still there in the same spot. She looks, Is it gone? No it is there, hard to see but it's there! How on earth does that giant beast camouflage so well? No time for that. She turns around the branches above her move like a wind breeze hit them leaves fall before her eyes. She looks up. Then looks back the snake is still over there. s**t she's afraid, but it's time to go. She extends her foot to start walking and out of the canopy the beast begins to lower its head right in front of her blocking her way. Its massive. Its golden eyes appear to almost glow in the dark. The snake flicks it tongue then let's out a hissing sound. The ranger can't believe what she is seeing. She slowly begins to lift her gun. If I can get a clean shot to the head from this distance it should penetrate the thick scale. I can kill this monster. She continues to raise her arms almost to her chest almost there. She looks at the monster's golden almost lifeless eyes she aims the gun and goes to squeeze the trigger. Swoosh!!!
She opens her eyes. What where Am I? Then she feels pain like she is being held in a vice grip. She looks around she is now in the canopy. She looks down. She is in the jaws of the snake it continues pulling her up the tree. She tries to grab onto tree branches anything to try and stop. She pulls so hard her nails break off. But she doesn't feel it. All she can feel are the hundred teeth clamping down on her torso as she is pulled into the canopy. Then it stops. Aaagh!!! she screams as the snake opens its mouth pulling its teeth out of her flesh. She breathes a sigh of relief. Its letting me go! But then her breath gets blocked as the snakes scales wrap around her face and body as it begins to cool itself around her. She tries to resist as tears come out her eyes. She goes to cry out but as she fills her lungs the snake quickly tightens its grip until no air can come in our out. Her mouth opens, but no sound, not even air escapes. The snake tightens once more and she fades away in a matter of moments. The snake begins to swallow her up there in the canopy.
Chelsea wakes up. What time is it? She looks at her dirty smart watch, it's almost 11. I can't believe I fell asleep like that. She quickly looks and sees her brother asleep. She is relieved. She looks around. Then she realizes. It's quite. So so quite. That eerie silence has over taken the jungle. s**t! Where is the ranger? I have to warn he! I need to go wake her up! She looks around, but only finds an empty sleeping bag. Across the room she sees the light on the floor it's moonlight. A window? No the door, the door is open! The ranger must have heard something and went check it out. I have to close that door! I don't trust leaving it open. She can knock and I'll let her back in. Besides she has a gun she's better off than I am! She begins to make her way to the door. She looks around outside once she gets there. There is no sign of the ranger. But that eerie silence is scaring the crap out of me. I'm closing the door. She closes it then is hit with guilt. Crap! Crap! I can't just leave her out there! She has no idea what that thing is. She has no idea what kind of monster is hunting them.
Against everything in her she slowly reopens the door. She sticks her head out and quietly shouts, Ranger?! Ranger lady?! You need to come back inside, hurry up! She stops and listens for a response. Nothing. So she steps out of the doorway a little. Hey Hey lady I'm about to close the door. Come back inside she says a little louder. There's a sound that comes from the side of the building. It must be her. Hey! Hey! Come on already! Are you coming? She once again listens, but there's nothing. She steps out a little further and shouts, Lady that's it I'm closing... Swoosh! The giant snake swoops down from atop the roof and grabs Chelsea in its jaws. It tightly wraps its coils around her and squeezes away her very life and right there on the rooftop it devours her just like it did her family. The giant beast opens its jaws and resetting the bottom and top jaw bones. It flickers its tongue and takes a few deep breathes before it extends it's long neck reaching back into the canopy disappearing once again into the forest.
Two days later the rescue team reaches the check in station. There's no one here. They look around in disbelief. Where did everyone go. Was this just some stupid prank? They go inside and look around. There's sleeping bags and signs of people being there, but no one is there now. They open the office, suddenly there is clanking coming from behind a shelf. Bang! Clank! The team moves in. They find a young boy hiding behind the shelf under a sleeping bag. What are you doing boy? they ask. But the kid is to frightened to talk he's in a serious state of shock. We need to get this boy some help! One of the men says. We need to get to the bottom of what happened here! Going back through the forest will take to long. So were not going back the way we came. We will head to the boat dock and head back Via the river. This boy needs immediate medical attention.
The group of men take the boy and they move out heading towards the river. Within a few hours they make it to the river and get onto the boat. They start the course heading back down stream at a good pace. Out of nowhere there are caught in a heavy rain storm. The rainy season has just begun. Soon the sss river will breach its banks and begin flooding over taking much of the rainforest. The rain is heavy. The boat has no choice, but to slow down tremendously. Crap! This is just what we need! I was hoping the rain would hold off for another week or so.
As they make there way down the river the heavy rain falls hitting the boat. A few men stand under the boats top watching the rain. Oh, what is that smell? one of them ask. Something is definitely dead around here! Wow! another guy says will you look at the size of that thing. The crew of men stand in aw as they look at the dead caiman pushed up against the banks of the river. I have never seen one that big! Do you think it died of old age? one ask. If not. another says. I definitely don't want to run in to whatever killed it. They continue to look on at the giant dead beast in amazement. But unknowingly they are being watch as well. Just barely piercing out of the water a set of golden eyes follows them behind the boat in complete stealth. The giant predator stalks its victim's blending in perfectly with the muddy water of the mighty sss river. The giant TitanoBoa closes in. The rain provides more camouflage to the already nearly invisible giant snake making it that much harder to see. It slithers through the murky water staying just yards away from the boat. It massive body seems to be as big as the river itself.
This prehistoric beast has roamed and reigned supreme over this habitat since the time right after dinosaurs roamed the earth. This is its domain, it's gone for centuries without ever being seen or even noticed. Or perhaps it never leaves any witness to tell its tale. There has always been folklore and crazy tales of a giant snake roaming the forest and river. Several pictures of a giant even emerge from time to time. There is one where the snake seems to be ready to attack a helicopter or the one taken over head where the snake in the river seems to be as long as the river is wide. Always passed off as just rumors and pranks the snake has remained hidden.
But as it closes in on the boat these unsuspecting men will come face to face with a terror unlike anything they have ever dreamed of. A monster with no pity or conscience only its seemingly endless appetite. Driven only by its insatiable need to feed. Alright everyone!!! the driver of the boat yells out through his open window. The storm is about to start coming down hard and this old girl won't be able to handle us pushing her much harder through this current! The crew start preparing the large boat for inclement weather. One of the guys notices movement in the water on the side of the boat. What was it? A river dolphin, or perhaps a big fish like the arapaima? Who knows?! But whatever it was, it was big!
There it is again movement in the water, this time to the boats stern. The guy leaves his post and walks to the back of the boat leaving everyone else up front continuing to perform their duties. He walks to the back of the boat. He sees something... A snake, slithering off the back of the boat into the water. He only caught a glimpse of the snakes back side but it was a good size perhaps a green anaconda that fell onto the boat from one of the over hanging branches. He walks over to where the snake was to make sure it got off completely. Suddenly the water thrashes about. There's something he crouches down to try to make out what the murky water seems to be concealing beneath it. What is!! SPLOOSH! The giant snake is lunges out of the water and grabs the man and before he can let out a scream, before his mind can even register what happened, he is pulled under the water. He looks on in terror as he realizes his head is down the throat of some enormous beast. The snake wraps his coils around the mans body and they sink to the bottom. Unable to move, unable to breathe the man watches the snakes wind pipe open and close the last thing he'll ever see. Soon he's taking his last breath. It devours him.
The snake slowly raises its head to the surface just revealing the nostrils and eyes as it takes a breath. It flicks its tongue and its heat seeking pits reveal how far ahead the boat is. It begins to swim towards the boat.
On the boat there is chaos. Where is Carlos? he was just here. Stop the boat! Stop the boat! Man Over BOARD!!! The boat comes to a halt and everyone scrambles to all sides of the boat looking for signs of Carlos in the water. Do you see him? one shouts out. Where is he? another shouts. Chelseas brother realizes the eerie silence has taken ahold of the jungle again. So quite it almost seems to even drown out the sound of the rain. He quickly runs downstairs and closes door then turns off the lights and kneels down with his hands over his head crying. As the crew continues to search for Carlos they fail to realize the boat that once was in the middle of the river has veered off to the bank. The boat drifts with the current then constantly catching low hanging limbs. s**t! The boat! driver shouts The boat! We are gonna smash into the bank or get caught on a large tree! He races to the wheel of the boat. As he does he's sees the big low hanging branch they heading straight toward. s**t if we hit that we'll be pinned here stuck! I need to hurry! His eyes can't believe what they just saw the giant branch appears to move. Maybe it's the water in my eyes?! No it moves again this time towards the boat. It's no branch! Its, it's a gigantic snake! he screams. The snake slithers onto the deck of the boat it's long heavy body knocks a few of the guys into the water and crushes one under it, pinning him into the deck drowning him in the water puddled on from the rain.
Holy s**t! the boat driver says under his breath as he looks at the monster. The colossal snake makes the 30 foot boat look like a kayak. The snake is heavy causing the boat to list to the side most of the snakes on. The snake is longer then the boat It has 20 feet of its body across the front part of the boat and at least another 15 or 20 feet still in the tree. The sheer weight and strength of the snake has anchored the boat. You can hear the 3 guys screaming for help as the river drags them away. The boat driver slowly tries to open the door to get to the wheel room. Just as he does one of his crewman steps out of the room armed with a shot gun. Die! You f*****g Devil Snake! he yells out as he fires two shots. Then reloads. The snake barely even flinches from the shotguns blast it barely even breaks into the snakes hide. But the trinkets of blood show that some made it through. The man quickly reloads and charges. The boat driver, grabs him and says, Calm down and shoot it right in its f*****g head! He points and fires another shot. The bullet hits right under the snakes head. This time the snake reacts it let's out a giant hiss, a blood chilling hiss. It opens its gaping mouth and hisses again. Hurry up shoot the thing! But before he can get off another shot the snake strikes with blinding speed. In one strike the it grabs both men who were standing shoulder to shoulder. Agghh!!! the men yelling and fighting. But there's no escape... The snake closes its jaws even tighter then pulls itself back up into the trees. It wraps its coils around the men, the men are now face to face being squeezed into each other. Blood comes out of one of the mans eyes and you can hear the bones crack as the snake squeezes the two men into each other. One of them yells and as he does the snake tightens its grip...
..Then it is silent... The forest is silent, all that can be heard is the snakes breathing the fall of rain, the fall of blood. The snake opens its mouth wide enough to fit both men down its throat. It devours them.
The boat continues to go with the current drifting down stream. It follows the river until it becomes lost in the wilderness. The few men in the water succumb to the creatures and currents of the mighty river. And just like that the snake erases any proof of its existence, it fixes its jaw again yawning, looks into the setting sun flickering its tongue. Takes a deep breath and slowly drops down into the abyss of the sss river. Just like that it's gone! The jungle springs back to life and all signs of the snake disappear.
A month later. A small boat approaches a ship wreck deep in the heart of the sss river. A boat wedged in the brush and trees. The river has risen a good deal so the boat is actually in the Rainforest itself. This is it! This is that boat that was lost a month ago! The one those rangers took off of right in the middle of that storm. Yep! They paid the price trying to move through that storm! the old man says. The younger guy says back, I heard it wasn't the storm! I heard they were attacked by a giant snake!. Oh, nonsense! the old guy replies. Snakes don't eat people and they don't attack boats. You kids believe anything! They continue to argue as they make their way down into the ship. It stinks down here the kid says. The old man opens the door to the bunker down stairs a decayed body of a dead boy falls out into the doorway. Oh my God, he is just a kid!, he old man says, Poor soul must have been the lone survivor. But why did he lock himself in here? It's like he just gave up, or maybe something made him to afraid to come out? Just what the hell is going on? Bloosh... Something hits the water coming down from the trees. The young guy yells out, Hey get up here!! I just saw something! Something went into the water, up there, up in the jungle. Hey! I want to leave! The old man comes up and looks around the water is still. There is no movement! Calm down!, he tells the boy. Were in the middle of the jungle it was probably just a snake or something. Come on help me get this body onto our boat.
Suddenly the noisy jungle becomes silent. What the hell? the old man says. In the distance two golden eyes peer up from the water. The snake has found its new prey!
