“Where did my mother go? Why isn't she coming home yet? It's been a week without seeing her, will she really come back?” Kara Dean, Alexander's first borne and only daughter, asked, with tears filled her eyes.
She refused to eat the food I prepared for her, and wept in agony as she pleaded to see her mother.
Alexander sat on the couch, holding his face in shame, with nothing to tell his daughter.
“Your mother will come back, she went to work and as soon as they are given a short leave she will come to see you. And don't worry your mother loves you so much and will never leave you in a situation like this, better be patient and eat your food. I'm here for you, I'm your mother now!”
I replied to Kara as I held her hand, and hugged her.
Alexander showed shock and shook hands in his face, looking at me with a grin. He wanted to say something, suddenly there was a knock at the door.
I went to open it, maybe it might be Kara's mother, she has decided to come home after a whole week of leaving. Not only did she leave, she left to Alexander a three-year-old daughter, who most needed the love of the mother at her age. The letter she left to Alexander was the one that finalized the separation of the two.
