Suddenly, everything went dark. A pair of hands covered my eyes. I jerked them away roughly.
I muttered in surprise, "Doctor Ryan."
"Don't look, you might end up heartbroken." I frowned at his words.

"Ouch!" I yelped in surprise. Doctor Ryan flicked my forehead. Again. Is this his habit? Annoying! I gently rubbed my forehead.

"Just wanted to see if there's anything in that brain of yours. How come you didn't get what I meant? Weren't you smart, especially in high school as an outstanding student? How come you can't comprehend what I just said?"
