"Shaira, sit here." Dad asked me to sit beside him. While next to him, Mom looked at me blankly without a smile. Unlike Dad, even though he was angry, he could still smile at me.
"Nanny Yumi and Karlo said you locked yourself in your room. Is that true?"
I quickly shook my head.
"Is that so?" Dad's eyes glanced at me.
Then I explained to him that I was just too lazy to leave the room. I also told him that Mom forbade me from going out of the house. So it's better to stay in the room. After all, it's the same, not going anywhere.
"Mom punished you so you can be responsible. Try to think, Shaira, do you think you did something wrong?"
