Jessica As soon as I opened my eyes, I felt how heavy the eyelids were. I wonder if it would ever end. I look at the clock that hung on the wall. 4.15 am. I went to the toilet, peed and washed my hands, brushed my teeth and went down to the kitchen. prepared breakfast. I knew she would come down in 45 minutes and start arguing about, yeah really anything. I went into the laundry room to check how much laundry there was, huh, only one loude for the washing machine. When did that last happen?. I loaded the washing machine. but i didn't start it. I didn't want to risk Sandra being woken up by it. Sandra has a terrible mood and the last time I got to taste it, my ribs on the right side were sore for 1 week with bruises. Diana joked that she thought they were broken. I've lost hope that Diana will ever see me as anything other than a slave, and I haven't called her mother since I was 2 years old. Fredrik, my so-called father according to Diana, came home from the military. took a long look at me and said that I couldn't possibly be his daughter. But Diana said it was impossible for it to be anyone else, and has ben claiming that since I was born. I don't look like any of the others in my family. They all have different shades of between blonde to brown hair, all are blue-eyed, have the same shape nose and no one else has freckles, Then it's me, I have ginger hair, green eyes and freckles over my nose and over my shoulders. I have a smaller nose that is nowhere near either Diana or Fredriks. I was scraping the last of the scrambled eggs into a serving dish, when I heard Sandra scream "what do we even have her for if she cant even take the f*****g laundry!" I turned around and saw that my sweet angels were coming down the stairs Ron and Anna. Ron a 7 year old charmer with a big heart and Anna 6 years old with an even bigger heart if possible. Anna with her long hair and Ron in his kalufs to hair who definitely need to be cut down again. Their hair grows like weeds. Anna shouted with pure joy "Jess today we are going away with ...." Sandra threw down the whole laundry basket with clothes and hit Ron in the back, Ron dropped his balance and fell down on Anna I was too far away to make it in time and they both fell down the stairs thankfully they were halfway down so they were not seriously injured but both screamed in fear and pain. I hugged them both and checked so they didn't hurt themselves. all Sandra had to say was "oops" that selfish witch. Diana now came down and tore me up in the hair, I tried to get on my knees or at least lean against my palms So I didn't hang in the hair. She slapped me across the face. "What are you doing with them?" Ron and Anna froze, they knew that if they even tried to tell that I comforted them and didn't hurt them, they would be punished by Diana, she loved forcing them to hit me. But I think Diana has started to understand that she haven't been able to make them hate me. "sorry.... They fell down from the stairs... I just wanted to se so they didn't got hurt" I looked up at the stairs and at the laundry basket, there were clothes everywhere thats wen i happened to meet Sandra's gaze. She totally freaked out and ran downstairs and started screaming. "Its your f*****g fault, if you had taken the laundry like a normal human, I wouldnt had to throw them down the stairs!" "you could have said there was laundry instead of throwing down the whole laundry basket ... what if Ron and Anna had hurt themselves!" I said. No idea to scream then Diana will start hitting me. it's a matter of time before Sandra starts.. Diana turned to Sandra and then to me. "it's your f*****g job to do the laundry" Diana said, she let go of my hair, I felt to the ground.. Diana complaind about how big of a head ache i gave her and left the room.. Sandra started there after kicking me, I put myself in fetal position in an attempt to protect my face and the softer organs in the stomach. She stopped after a while. "Damn I need to shower now f*****g disgusting piece of s**t". I crawled to try to sit on the floor damn what a pain, I took a deep breath and tried to get up. I did lose my balance and end up on my ass again. Damn. I never checked the laundry last night in Sandra's room because I was home at 01.. If I had disturbed her I would have been beaten for it... but it seems like I got beated anyway.. Ron and Anna sat and ate breakfast now. I saw that Anna was on her way down from her chair. I looked up and shook my head. Ron hugging his little sister "Anna, Jessica said we shouldn't intervene it will get worse and you might be punished you too". Ron whispered that he was so sorry.. I nodded and smiled, I would happily take the beating, as long as they are safe.. Diana came out into the kitchen and saw that Anna was sitting on the chair again. "so what are you doing?" She almost screamed at Anna "I hope you didn't try to help that rat up from the floor, rats belong there" she said as she laughed. "No...no mom, I...I checked my lunch box for the trip today," she almost whispered. Diana went to the fridge and opened it. There was a green and a pink lunch box ready for the trip. She took some scrambled eggs and sausage on her plate and disappeared. I was still sitting on the floor. I made another attempt to get up and succeeded. Anna and Ron whispered a thank you. At least Diana didn't force the little ones to hit me today. Each time it eats some of them. They are really good kids. Had it not been for them, I wouldn't have stayed another second. The day I turn 18, I will take my chances to escape and take them with me. I started to collect the laundry from the stairs, started the washing machine and then cleaning away after breakfast. Sandra never ate her so I put it away if Diana would have seen that I ate any of her portion i would live to regret it so i didn't touch it. "Buy Jessi!" Ron and Anna waved and went to school.. I started with dinner, while I was washing I dusted, watering plants and vacuumed, checked through all the rooms and made the beds. When the food was ready at 12, I set the table. Then I went and got ready for work. Sandra had already gone out, she was dressed up so I suspected she would meet her boyfriend. I didn't know were Diana were, but I hardly ever did so that werent something new.
