The Revelation
Sebastian's POV
The guards moved toward Serenye with their weapons drawn, their faces showing reluctance but their movements steady. They were following orders, following pack law, even though I could see the conflict in their eyes.
But I couldn't let them touch her.
I broke free from whatever power had held me frozen, my Alpha authority flooding back into my limbs. In three long strides, I positioned myself directly between the approaching guards and Serenye, my body a wall of protection.
"Nobody touches her," I commanded, my voice ringing with absolute authority. "Stand down. That's an order."
The guards stopped immediately, caught between their Alpha's command and the Council's demand. They looked at each other uncertainly, then at Aldric, then back at me.
