CHAPTER 6

"What are you going to do?"

He grabbed my face and leaned down just to kiss me. My eyes widened.

I tried to push him off but to no avail. He just get my hands and pinned them above my head.

I panicked. What the hell is he doing?

I bit his lips. He pulled out the kiss and look at me with rage in his eyes.

"What are you doing? You're a criminal! A r****t!"

I want to push him off and get out of here but I just can't.

"You're mine. Might as well leave a mark on you before it's too late."

The guy said and kiss me again. Rough, careless, and punishing kiss.

He went down to my neck and give little kisses on every part of it. He suck my neck and bit it. Tears fall from my eyes and my body stopped resisting. He's sucking my blood. Leaving a very deep mark.

When the guy is already done. He let go of my neck and look at me. I can see my blood dripping down his mouth. My vision got blurred.

"Even after five years of being dormant, your blood still taste good."

I close my eyes. I can't take this. I prefer to die than experience this.

I am just looking at her. She's sleeping right now after I leave a mark on her.

"Sir, your father wants to talk to you."

I look at my butler.

"No, decline all his calls. Turn off all the means to communicate me. Don't ever let anyone from the outside gets in here and reach me."

"Copy that sir."

He went outside of the room. I took the glass of wine and drink it. I look at Kholleen. She passed out. She must be really tired.

It's been five years. She's mad at me because of my decision years ago. She must not know more than that issue.

I am Astrid Hower. Just like what I said to her. We're the same. We have the same rare case. And according to my research, just the two of us had this case. We possesses special abilities. Just like what she did before she falls asleep years ago.

We had no enemies, but there are scientists who are obsessed with us. They want us to be their lab rats and create human weapons.

I was once a test subject before because of my step-mother. She's a scientist. She just married my father because she wants to be so close to me and keep an eye on me.

After knowing that, I killed her. I killed everyone who has done crazy experiments on me. My father then started to hate me. He wants to punish me from killing my step-mom.

I distanced my self from everyone and started a research on how to cure my self but I had nothing as a result. Two years after, I had the information that there is these two siblings who has a case of vampirism. So I laid my eyes on them. There I found out that the younger one has a vampirism case. And the eldest is a rare case just like mine.

I researched all about their family. They are just the ones who had the case in the family. I found out that the eldest is doing a research and experiments for the cure for her sister. By then, I started to connect with her but not introducing myself.

After almost 10 years, she had the right antidote for her sister. She's a badass scientist too, I give her that. Without the suppervison of other science geeks, she did a great job.

I grab the opportunity to finally get her. Then the incident happened.

I licked my lips, her blood is sweeter than I thought. Now, she will never get out of my grip.

I sat down on the couch in the balcony and look at her.

"Kholleen Gomez. I just want to protect you from those crazy men. They will never let you out of the hook once they found out."

And I don't like the idea of making human weapon. It is not a good idea. I already saw what it will be like.

I look at the full moon lighting the whole night sky. I've been here for a long time. Because of Kholleen who's soundly asleep here for five years.

I slowly opened my eyes. The light coming from the balcony hurt my eyes. When my vision adjusted, I saw someone standing on the balcony facing his back on me. It is the guy from yesterday.

Then I remember what he just did last night. I touch my neck. There's no wound but I know something is in there.

"Does it still hurt?"

My gaze move to him. He's now looking at me while leaning his back and his arms on the brace of the balcony.

"What did you do to me?"

"I put my mark on you. Meaning that you're mine now. You will never run away or hide from me. I will find you no matter what."

I sighs. So I really don't have a choice now.

"I don't want to either run away or hide from you anyways. You're right. I don't have anything or anyone here. I am all alone."

"You're not."

The guy went near me and sat beside me.

"You have me the moment I laid my eyes on you many years ago."

I am just looking at his eyes. He's smiling at me. Even his eyes are smiling. I can't help but to smile also.

"There you go. You smiled at last."

He said smiling.

"What's your name?"

I ask. I realized that I still don't know his name.

"The name is Astrid Hower, the same age as you."

"Astrid."

He smiled even brighter.

"Feels so good to hear my name from you."

"I am Kholleen Gomez."

"You're Kholleen Hower from now on. You are my wife."

I blushed. I am stunned. Seriously? After I opened my eyes from a long sleep, I already had a husband?
