CHAPTER 12

“Good morning, Kholleen.”

“Good morning.”

“How was your sleep? Did you suffer last night from home sick?”

“No, I slept well last night.”

“That’s good. Let’s go grab our breakfast. We’ll be late.”

I just nodded and headed to the cafeteria. Astrid, as usual is waiting for me on the lobby.

“Good morning pretty ladies.”

“Aw, slow down Astrid. We might fall for you if you keep doing that.”

The later just smiled and faced me.

“Of course you are more beautiful than them.”

“Ah, so that’s it. This guy is just using us. I felt betrayed. How dare you.”

We all laughed because of Louise blabbering non-sense.

“We better hurry. We’ll be late.”

Luckily, we are in the same class.

“We still have an hour to have our breakfast and going to our class.”

“Well, president Raide is very strict in time. Exactly 8 am, the school grounds should be cleaned. No more students lurking around. He will check the cctv’s in every side of the school and his men will roam around. Same goes at night. No students are allowed to go outside when the clock strikes at 8 pm.”

This is a secluded school. No one can go outside of it but why do they still need to be so strict? 8 pm is still early.

“November is arriving, we should get ready.”

I slowly walk and look at the two guys walking pass by us.

‘Be ready for what?’

“What’s the matter?”

I looked at them, they are looking at me.

“What are they talking about? Why do they have to get ready for the month of November?”

Cassandra and Louise look away. The same reaction last night. I smiled at them and walk again.

“Nevermind.”

Maybe it is really a secret. But we are also part of this school now. We also have the right to know.

“Here we are. This will be our classroom.”

I looked around once we entered the room. All eyes are on us. We just followed Cassandra and Louise went on the back part of the room.

We found two vacant seats there so we just grab it. Minutes later, the teacher finally arrived.

“We have two transferees today. Please introduce yourselves.”

Astrid stood up and introduced himself.

“Astrid Hower, nice to meet you all.”

No one responded like they are still waiting for Astrid to talk more about himself but the later just smiled. I sigh and stood up.

“Good day, I am Kholleen Hower, nice to meet you.”

“Why do they have the same surname?”

“Are they siblings?”

“Quiet!”

I sat down and did not mind them asking about me and Astrid’s last name.

I really don’t feel like studying. I spent my whole life studying for my sister’s case and I already know anything that the teacher is teaching.

I looked outside the room. Lots of trees outside, so forest are in the back part of this building. I am just looking outside when I saw someone hiding behind one of the trees in the forest. He is looking and smirking at me.

I felt goosebumps.

“Hey are you alright?”

I looked at Astrid. He looks worried. I just smiled at him.

“Nothing. Ahm, I will go to the restroom.”

I raised my hand and ask the teacher if I can go to the restroom. She as hesitant at first but she then gave me the permit to go out. She told me that without that consent, if ever I bumped with SSG president Raide, I will get punished.

I am not actually going to the restroom. I will go to the forest where I saw the man looking at me. I carefully checked the surroundings if there is someone noticed me. Seems like no one noticed me.

“He should be still here.”

Who is he? Why is he looking at me? Does he know me?

I went near the tree where he was hiding but he just ran towards the forest.

So I am not mistaken. Someone is really looking at me. Who might it be? I thought no one is allowed to lurk around when the class hour starts?

I just followed him.

“Stop right now! Who are you?”

He didn’t stop running until we reach the dim part of the forest. That’s the time I notice that we are far from the school grounds.

I look around the place. Trees, tall trees and grasses are around us.

“You are brave enough to follow me here, young lady.”

I step backward when he talk. I look at him. He is hiding in the dark part of the forest.

“Who are you?”

The guy laughed. I felt goosebumps in my spine.

“Young lady, I didn’t expect that my work will be as easy as a piece of cake. You, yourself voluntarily offered yourself to me.”

I was stunned. So he really was looking for me? Then I saw something shining on his hand. A knife.

I continuously took steps backwards. When I saw him running towards me, I ran to any direction just to run away from him.

I look back to see if he was gone but pain struck my right leg. I fell on the ground and lean on the nearest tree. His knife is in my right leg.

“Now, you are done!”

My eyes widened when he grab my neck and pinned me on the tree. I grabbed his hand forcing it to let go of my neck.

“Ack!”

“Die! You have to die!”

I can hardly breathe, with one eye open, I look at him. His eyes are different. Seems like there is someone controlling him to do this.

“W-who a-are y-you! Ack!”

His grip tightens. I closed my eyes and grasp for air.

“L-let g-go!”

No, I will not die here! I was about to make a move using my own ability when I felt that he pull the knife in my right leg and immediately stab my stomach. By then, he let go of me.

He laughs.

“Now, you are finally done.”

I fell, sitting on the ground. Blood running out from my right leg, stomach and from my mouth.

“Ack!”

I spit blood.

“You should have not been alive again.”

I immediately look at the guy. He is now looking and smiling like a psycho to me. Why does he know that I am once dead?

I want to ask him lots of questions but my eyes are blurry and I can’t even breathe properly. Slowly my eyelids are falling.

“Good bye young lad- ack!”

Someone stab him. I saw someone on his back and stab the man before I fall into darkness.
