《CHAPTER FIVE; I WANT DADDY》
SIX YEARS LATER.
"Thalina.” A lady called moving around a big mansion, she was dressed in a nanny's outfit "Thalina dearest." she called once more searching around frantically.
"Oh no." she mumbled loudly "I need to call Miss Vanessa." She pulled out a phone from her pocket.
"And what will you tell her?" A small voice asked in a sassy manner, the woman stared at the little girl as she walked down the stairs she had red lipstick excellently put on, her strawberry blond hair was curled neatly, make-up put on professionally and she walked like a princess who lived in her own castle.
"Thalina." The woman called and relived "You were in Miss Vanessa's room." she realised staring at the make up the little girl put on.
"Yes, I used moms make-up kit." she replied plainly "Now call the driver and tell him I am going out."
"Where young lady?" Vanessa asked, walking into the house, she stared at her daughter's face, the naughty little thing had gone to her room once again and used her make up, though she had turned professional in applying make up that made her a little proud.
"Somewhere old lady." She replied saucily walking up to her mom.
"Mummy.” She blinked her eyes, cutely pouting her mouth and puffing her cheeks.
"My Thali." Vanessa smiled, lifting up her daughter "what trouble have you caused Nanny Amara today."
"Oh Miss she spilt a whole pail of flour on the ground and played around in it claiming she was in the snow, went up to your room and applied your make up and the girl has been bossing everyone around.” Nanny Amara recounted to her boss.
Vanessa stared at her daughter who made a cute face at her, she put her down with a frown.
"Again with your rebellious attitude, I had to leave an important meeting after the security alarm in my room went off.” She scolded sternly.
"I didn't do it intentionally." Thalina said, not looking her mom in the eyes.
"Why did you then?"
"I just want to see daddy once, Mummy.” The little girl broke down in tears, and Vanessa cuddled her baby tightly.
"Thalina."
"Mama just once.” she pouted cutely her teary eyes sparkling . "Its not fair that I don't have a daddy all the kids have one or did I fall from the sky?"
Vanessa shook her head and face and palmed herself "Thali let's go for Icecream." She sweetly changed the topic but the girl didn't seem excited over it.
"Is my father an ice cream vendor?” she inquired pouting
"Ofcourse not Thali.”
"Then who's my daddy, stop lying mama you can go to hell for lying to such a sweet thing like me" The little girl sneered with a pout "I know you have a daddy so don't give your I am your mother and also your father story."
Vanessa stared at the girl in disbelief, the little girl was a fire cracker she always said her mind to anyone no matter their age or status.
"Thalina, let's go for ice cream, okay?" she tried to coax her.
"I am not a four year old mom, I am five, don't treat me like a child." Thalina demanded, her facial expression was serious and she frowned at her mom.
Her daughter was so troublesome even though she couldn't handle her, she always reminded her of Alaric. They were carbon copies of each other when it came to behavior. The day she found out about her pregnancy and Alaric's marriage she promised herself never to go meet him or be with any other man and now that her daughter was older she was looking for the man she hated the most, her daughter's father. Alaric Kaiser.
"Ice cream and piazza okay?" Vanessa told her daughter.
Thalina knew her mom was strong headed. no matter how much trouble she caused or cute faces she made her mom wouldn't budge.
"I have to come up with a plan to find daddy, since mom doesn't want me to talk to my Papa." she thought, rubbing her chin.
"Mr Carlos got the car." Thalina ordered "Nanny Amara get my designer bag and phone."
"Thalina, you should not be ordering them that way." Vanessa cautioned her.
"Well mum, don't you pay them every month so they can take care of our needs?" she asked her mother
"Yes but...."
"I can't let your money waste so I am taking care of the house while you take care of your office."
Vanessa just rolled her eyes as she and her daughter , the little demoness did things her way, which made Vanessa wonder whose character she had gotten definitely not hers , since she wasn't as shrewd as her.
"Mummy, I want strawberries and chocolate.” Thalina informed her mom as they both sat at the back of the car being driven by Carlos, their driver.
"Yes Baby, I will get you that.” Vanessa said pinching Thaliana's cheeks, her phone rang loudly and she picked it up it was a call from her company.
"Is it urgent?” Vanessa asked, tucking her hair behind her ears. "Tell the investor to wait, I will be there." She hung up the call and stared at Thalina who c****d her head to one side glaring at her mom.
"It's important Thali.” Vanessa made a pouty face.
"Nothing should be more important than your own child." Thalina said "If I had a dad he would take me instead.”
Thalina knew when and how to make her mom feel guilty, she knew she was working hard for them to live well but if she had a dad she knew it would be different.
"Don't worry mama, go to work and Mr Carlos will have Icecream, isn't that right Mr Carlos?" She asked and the driver only nodded.
"Thanks Thali I will make it up to your promise." She kissed her daughter's forehead and immediately got down from the car.
The driver stopped at the Icecream shop and went in to get their order, leaving Thalina alone in the car. It was time for her to execute her plans.
She came out of the car which Mr Carlos didn't lock, after she coaxed him not to. The area she was in was crowded. People seemed eager to meet someone. Maybe a celebrity had arrived, no one noticed her because of her small size and height.
She ran into a shopping mall which was being heavily guarded, it was one of the most popular malls in the city, she had never seen it so empty inside and heavily guarded outside. Picking up her phone, Thalina dialed her best friend's number.
"Hello Alessandro.” She said "I am here looking for my dad at Grande's Mall."
"Really strawberry?" The young boy's eyes widened hearing her. "Are you really looking for your dad?"
"Yes you dummy, that's what I just said chocolate, what do I do now?"
"Well according to a movie I watched with my Mama, the girl cries out for her Papa and he comes to save her, maybe you should do that."
"You are so dumb Chocolate, you are only four. I am five. I am smarter. Aunt Ayesha should not let you watch such series anymore." Thalina scolded him.
"Well talking factually there's only a 1% chance you can actually meet your dad there and know who he is, but like my Mama says anything is possible if you believe." Alessandro started pushing his glasses up his nose.
Thalina heard someone talking and went to hide. "Bye chocolate, strawberry has to go.” She quickly hung up the call, as she tried to hide but tripped in the process twisting her ankle. She cried out in pain and the words that left her mouth were;
"Daddy, Daddy. "
Alaric paused when he heard a sound, he listened closely. 'Daddy ' the person shouted in pain, when he heard it he felt a strange tug in his heart.
