Tony’s POV
Things were going great. We hadn’t had any attacks on our pack, which we were grateful for.
I guess I spoke too soon. Rogues attacked from everywhere, lighting the cabins and houses on fire.
You could hear pack members screaming and shouting.
Mind-linking, calm down everyone, start making your way to the pack house. Do not go into the designated shelters since they are burning things down. I do not want anyone getting caught in the fires.
Either one of the warriors or Mason will meet you at the back of the pack house to take you to a safe place.
Mason, get the pack members out of here, take them through the tunnels, get them to safety. You know where to take them; we already talked about this.
See if you can get a hold of Taylor and Sally; see if they can help us. Yes, Alpha, replied Mason.
Gamma Michael, where are you?
The east side with the warriors, we are on our way. Charlie is running faster than I have ever seen him run, but we still didn’t get there in time.
Pack members, make sure you are making your way to the pack house; Mason is there waiting for you. Warriors, that including you.
I said over the mind link.
Everyone answered, yes Alpha.
Mason, how many are we missing? Thirty-seven - ten pack members, the rest warriors.
Get going, we will meet you where we talked about; it can’t be seen by them. Yes, Alpha.
I will worry about who we are missing; you just get them to safety.
All the warriors were in front of the pack house. When I finally made my way there. How many are we missing now?
We are missing ten-pack members.
Span out and check everywhere for them; stay in groups. Yes, Alpha, they all replied.
When we came back, the pack house was on fire.
At least we had accounted for all ten-pack members; our pack was a total loss.
They burned down everything, even the dungeon.
We walked through the forest as quickly and quietly as we could. If they decided to burn down the forest at this point, it wouldn’t matter.
The protection spell around my mother’s house would protect us all.
Michael, make sure we are not being followed.
Between him and the warriors, we all made it safely to my mother’s house.
Okay, everyone, listen up. They burnt down our pack, that’s including the pack house itself. With over 300 pack members, it was a little cramped.
On the bright side, everyone is accounted for. There were no deaths.
Give me some time, and I will work out what we are going to do next. You can move around freely. Make sure not to leave the yard. Otherwise, they can see you and hear you.
Here we are protected; they cannot see or hear us.
Mason, Michael, and I went into the house to make a plan on what steps we would take next.
What do you guys think? I got a hold of Taylor; he said bring everyone to his pack. We can’t fly them out, or he will see. I agree.
Sally will be here in a few minutes, and we will see what our options are.
Mason’s POV
I can’t believe they actually burnt out the pack down. If I had not seen it with my own eyes, I would’ve thought Tony was playing a joke on me.
They weren’t even attempting to attack us. It seemed like they were on a mission to burn everything down.
Even though I wanted to attack them, there was much more at stake at this point; we needed to get our pack members to safety.
I was glad when Tony told everyone to go to the pack house for their safety. It’s not like we could save anything. They made sure of that.
I had to laugh when I heard they had burnt down the dungeon too. How stupid is that? Good thing no one was in there.
We don’t keep guards there unless the dungeons are being used.
I feel so sorry for Alpha Tony considering this was his family’s pack. It had been passed down through the generations.
Alpha Taylor was surprised when I called and told him what was happening,
he didn’t even let me finish what I was going to say before he told me to tell Tony just bring them here.
I couldn’t be more grateful to him and his pack for taking us in.
Some how we will make this work. I know our Alpha he strong, and one of the best Alphas I know.
He would never let his pack down. Right now I’m sure that is exactly what he’s thinking.
What he doesn’t realize is he managed to get every pack member out. Not one casualty. A few minor injuries. But nothing major.
That is a blessing on its own. Now we wait and see what happens next. Hopefully Sally will be here soon and we can make a plan to get us all out of here together.
Michael’s POV
It was crazy they weren’t even attacking us, it felt like another diversion, which I found out really fast it was, they had started lighting houses on fire.
At that point I stopped trying to fight them and started trying to save our pack members.
Luckily we had managed to get them out, a few jumped out their windows.
You could hear the screaming and shouting, then finally we heard our Alpha telling us to calm down and where to go.
He even told us not to use the shelters in place at the pack house.
It’s a good thing he did can you imagine how many would have been trapped inside when they burnt down the pack house.
I’m so grateful that our Alpha saw through their plans. And got us all to safety. I’m sure what ever happens next we at least will do it as a pack.
