Izzy’s POV
Around nine, I heard a knock on the cabin door, and Liam opened the door, and it was Taylor.
I just wanted to know if you all were sleeping here at the pack house or going home?
Looking at Taylor, I told him, let’s go outside and talk.
We walked outside on the porch, and I shut the door behind us.
I looked at him for a few minutes before I began to speak. I just wanted to say thank you. You gave my family a chance.
You gave my parents a chance at being real mates.
But that doesn’t excuse you not talking to me first and putting me on the spot earlier.
I know Izzy, and I’m so sorry for that. I never meant to hurt you, he sighed.
It won’t happen again, I promise. Please just give me a chance.
You gave my parents a chance, so you’ve earned a chance. But please talk to me before you do something like that again.
I promise.
Izzy, we need to talk about you and your brothers being rogues.
I know why you became rogues, but we need to fix that. Even though you guys, for some reason, don’t smell like rogues. I’m not sure why we don’t smell like rogues, I will ask my grandma to see if she knows why.
For now we need to fix it so, you all have two options, you can rejoin Tony’s Pack or mine, you will eventually have to join my pack since you will be my Luna, grins Taylor.
Oh, you call that an option, laughs Izzy. Taylor grins and shrugs his shoulders.
I do agree we do need to fix it, but it’s not my call on what pack they will choose.
I will be staying here with you, just don’t make me regret that, Izzy smirks. Taylor laughs, don’t worry I won’t!
Tony wants Sally to do what she did to you, to your father.
Tony is hoping that it might show us what Malcolm’s end game might be, or give us a clue to where we can find them.
That doesn’t sound like a bad idea, Taylor, but pull my father to the side and ask him first.
Don’t do what happened to me.
That’s fine. We can ask him tomorrow morning together, if that’s okay with you.
Yes, that would be fine.
Now to my original question about what everyone wants to do. I’m not sure we will have to ask them.
Taylor grabs my hand and pulls me close to him. Will you stay with me?
I look up into his eyes. I can’t deny him. Yes, I will stay with you. But it doesn’t mean we will do anything.
Taylor smiles a genuine smile, and it took my breath away. He lifts my chin and gives me a kiss. It was soft and sweet.
I so wanted more. But now was not the time, and I was not ready for the rest.
I think he knows that. He pulls away, and at that moment, I realized how much I needed him, to feel his warmth.
We walk back into the cabin and ask everyone what they wanted to do.
Taylor and I walked in, and everyone bombarded Taylor with all sorts of questions. I had to laugh.
To my surprise, he calmly and patiently answered their questions one by one.
My grandparents were asking what was going to happen to my parents. He told them it wasn’t his decision; ultimately, it was our decision.
My grandparents looked at my mother with hope. I understood. She didn’t condone what my mother had done, but it was still their daughter.
Zack asked Taylor if it was okay for him to stay at the pack for a while? My other two brothers wanted to know the same thing.
I laughed at my brothers when he told them that was not his decision. They would have to ask their mates. The look on their faces was priceless.
It’s not every day you get to see grown men groan. Taylor chuckled. We all sat around talking about stupid things.
I was ready to go to bed. My uncle started talking to him about what was next. I just sat and listened to everyone talking. Is this what having a family really felt like?
I was happy not because I found my mate. That is a bonus. You’re telling me, says Shay!
Shay, we’re not going there! Shay laughs. Alright, if you say so!!.
Taylor asked if everyone made a decision on where they wanted to stay for tonight. My uncle and my grandparents all said they wanted to stay here and be close to my mom.
My brothers wanted to stay here with their mates. I couldn’t blame them. And it was getting late.
I’m not sure what the future holds, but this is my family and I will do whatever it takes to keep us all together. It may not be perfect but it’s a start.
Okay, since we all made a decision on where we are staying tonight, let’s go and get some rest, tomorrow there’s a lot to do.
Plus I’m sure your parents need some time alone, I’m sure this has to be overwhelming to them.
Even though I might not want to talk to them, Taylor is right, it’s time to give them some alone time.
Okay, everyone, say your goodbyes, I had to laugh at my brothers, they can never do things simply. It took another ten minutes with them clowning around.
Taylor finally opened the door and told my brothers to get out, the expressions on their faces were priceless, I turned around to find everyone was waiting for us.
I guess Taylor mind-linked to come get their mates.
Taylor held my hand as we walked out the door waiting for the others to come out.
We still had to show my grandparents and uncle where they would be staying. .
Taylor’s POV
I stood there looking at my mate, her smile is breathtaking, I am so lucky I have finally found her. I can’t wait to see what the future holds next for all of us.
