Chapter thirty three

1013 Words
Izzy’s POV This is not happening, as I blush a deep red. Shaking my head, the audacity of this Alpha of mine. I’m sure you’ll show me later, he whispered in my ear. Shaking my head, oh, you think so, huh. I do, as he kisses my neck where his mark will eventually be. Taylor!! He laughs and pulls me closer. I have always dreamed of having a mate. Now that I do, I wonder still if he’s going to reject me. He’s as bad as his mom, I can’t believe him! Plus he does it in front of everyone, I don’t even have words for him now. Yes, you do say, Shay, you know you want to jump his bones and ride his morning woodie! She did not just go there! Shay!! As my face turns bright red. Blocking her out will do no good; she’ll just start sending me images. I can hear Taylor laughing, I want to reach over and smack that smirk right off his face. I hope Ry is giving him hell for picking on me, Shay laughs, no, he’s not because he wants you to ride his woodie, she said smirking. I put my hands over my face and shake my head while everyone else is laughing at my bright red face. It’s okay, love, no one here is judging you, it’s all in good fun. I look up at Taylor as he grins, I shake my head, “shameless” is all I could say, as everyone starts to laugh. As much as I want to mate with him, I won’t till we know what Malcolm wants. I know Izzy says, Shay. But you can’t help a wolf for trying, she grins. You’re as shameless as Taylor, I sigh. The food finally came, and everyone started eating while Ava told stories about Taylor, Jarred, Alicia, and Sara. A few of Abby too. Abby mostly trained and went to school. But she did tell of the time that Abby got the better of Jarred. He was drunk and brought it on himself. Devin just growled and pulled Abby closer. Everyone started laughing. Abby had to calm him down, and Jarred just put his hands in the air. It was a long time ago, and she kicked my a** for it. You couldn’t help but laugh at the face Jarred was making. While Devin continued to growl at Jarred. Taylor was Mr. Goodie Two Shoes, as Ava put it. He would rather read books and solve math problems than go out and play. Jarred pushed Taylor to play; you would have thought it killed him by the way he acted, says Ava, but you could tell deep down he enjoyed it. To this day, Jarred keeps Taylor on his toes. As everyone laughs, I was surprised to see Taylor laughing at the story. Maybe he’s just used to the way his mom is. Lucas is more quiet and reserved, which balances Ava and him out. I can actually see why they are still so happy, and it has nothing to do with the bond; they nurture the bond that’s what makes it so strong. Just because your mates don’t always mean you’re happy. It’s something you have to continuously work on. My grandparents are the same way. My grandfather still looks at my grandma like she’s the sun and the moon all in one. I hope that’s how I will look at Taylor years from now. The mate bond only brings you to the person you’re destined to be with; the rest is up to you. I watched and listened as my grandparents told stories and jokes. I couldn’t help but laugh at everyone’s antics. Even my parents were laughing. Today so far has been a good day. But I’m exhausted from my grandma and Ava. Taylor finally brought up the meeting; my grandparents, my parents, and Taylor’s all listened to the conversation. Lucas asked what the actual proposal was. Taylor went through the whole proposal with all of them. They were impressed at all the details Taylor had gone through. Liam and I were excited about the opportunity to have our own clinic. Lucas was impressed; he even ran a few ideas about it. My grandfather also had a few ideas. Taylor was genuinely impressed by what ideas they had offered. Of course, my grandma and Ava said they would do all the shopping for it. Taylor “groaned”, my cards as he grinned at his mom and my grandma. Everyone started to laugh. We knew one thing for sure: they wouldn’t miss a chance to go shopping. . I watched as Taylor incorporated what his dad and my grandfather had suggested. Liam loved their ideas. I sat there smiling. He listened and didn’t just dismiss their ideas; he actually incorporated them in the proposal. Finally, it was time to go back to the pack house and get ready for the meeting. I sat in the car; my head was lying up against Taylor’s shoulder. Closing my eyes, listening to my family, what more could I ask for, falling asleep listening to them tell jokes about each other? Taylor’s POV I look down to see my mate has fallen asleep, so I quiet everyone down so we wouldn’t wake her. Shopping with my mom and grandma had really exhausted her. I hope she realizes it’s only the beginning! I am glad I don’t have to try to figure out how she’s feeling, and right now, she is content. My mom and her grandma are a lot to handle, especially when it comes to shopping. My Luna handled it well. I don’t think I could have handled things as well as Izzy had. I probably would’ve pulled out all my hair. I wouldn’t change a thing on how things worked out. I wish we would’ve met sooner, but if they did, I’m not sure we would’ve had the same outcome. As crazy as this outcome is, this is how it was always destined to come out.
