Aiden's POV
This is just another deal, another signature, another contract.
Nakatingin siya sa akin na parang may halong interest at amusement, as if he already knew what I was going to say.
"Mr. Ramirez," I started, trying to keep my voice steady. "Thank you for giving me this opportunity."
"Of course, Aiden," he replied in a warm tone. "But remember, this isn't just any contract. Maraming nakataya rito."
"Sir, about this clause here—could we clarify this part?"
Mr. Ramirez leaned forward, with a hint of a smile in his eyes. "Ah, yes. That’s the challenge. Kaya mo bang harapin ito?"
Chapter 6: Resistance
Aiden's POV
Nasa conference room ako, trying to keep my thoughts in order. I knew this wasn’t going to be easy. Alam kong maraming hindi sang-ayon sa plano ko, and today, I was going to face them all.
“So, Aiden,” sabi ni Ms. Santiago, her voice filled with skepticism. “Why should we approve this proposal?
I took a deep breath, keeping my voice steady. “No, ma'am. This isn’t just for me—it’s for the entire team. Kung magtatagumpay tayo dito, we’ll all benefit from the changes.”
Pero hindi lahat convinced. I could see it in their faces—yung iba, tahimik lang pero halatang may pagdududa. One by one, they started raising objections.
"But what about the risks?" tanong ni Mr. Cruz, looking at me seriously. "Paano kung hindi mag-work? What’s our backup plan?"
I stood my ground. "May risk, yes. And I’m ready to take full responsibility if things go wrong."
Naramdaman ko ang tension sa paligid. Alam kong mahirap silang kumbinsihin, but I had to try. "This resistance," I said firmly, "is only natural.
Nagkatinginan sila, clearly uncertain. But deep inside, I knew that I had planted a seed. It was up to me to make them believe in the vision.
