CHAPTER 4: Audition

Avery's POV

I talked to Alexa, but she refused my offer. I want her to be mine and I want to own her. I asked her if I could court her, but she just ignored me and left immediately. She is the only person that treats me like that. I can get everything I want easily, but Lexa is so smart, that's why I can't.

My Alexa is so fearless that she threatened me that if I tried to hurt her friends, she would kill herself first. She values her friends, and I hope she values me also. I'm getting jealous of her friends. I'm not going to stop pursuing her until I make her mine and mine alone.

"Erie, I have found you another match. I promise I did a background check on him," Chelsea unnie said.

"Chel you don't have to"

"Huh? Don't tell me you want me to cancel it. "

"Yeah cancel it"

"Yah!! You know, I made an oath to your parents that I'm not going to let you die alone".

I just ignore her because this conversation might get too long. Suddenly, we heard a knock and Chel unnie opened it. My parents are here. Maybe they heard what happened with Mr. Song.

"Avery, don't worry, we are going to make their lives miserable," Dad said.

"Chelsea, what happened about finding Avery's love?" Mom asked Chel unnie.

"I found a match again and she wants me to cancel it"

"Why don't we just have an audition to find her match?" My Dad suggested.

"At last! Darling you used that head of yours," My mom praised my dad. "Let's do that. Chelsea, I want you to inform people that we are looking for Avery's perfect match. "

"Tomorrow, so you should post it now."

I just ignore my parents and keep working. I need to finish this early so I can see my Alexa.

Alexa's POV

Avery Halston is crazy and she is giving me a headache. I can't forget what happened yesterday, and it stressed me out. By the way, I am here now at the campus with my friends.

"Guys! Look at these. The CEO of Halston Corp is finding a love match"Jason said with enthusiasm. I didn't bother looking at his phone when he showed it to us.

"Wow, they have an audition. It looks like they are eager to find their daughter a husband" Jake commented.

"She had a lot of suitors. Why didn't she just pick at them?"

"Sam, it says here 'perfect match,' that means they need to be compatible with each other," Jason explained.

"I think that is even possible. No one can handle her attitude" Sam and Jason look at Jake.

"She is cold-hearted, scary, and a spoiled brat. She never smiles at the camera or even at people. They even say that she never smiles at her family members either. "

"But even though that is her personality, I am a hundred percent sure that many men will be lining up" Sam said.

"Of course, who will not line up there? She is rich, powerful, hot, and sexy. She is every man and woman's dream. " Jason was staring at his phone.

"What does she look like?" I asked and Jason and Jake were shocked.

"You don't know her?!?" They said it in sync except Sam.

"Nope"

"Are you living under a rock?" Jake asked.

"Guys, she is not interested in that kind of thing. Alexa is the type of person who is always minding her own business instead of being nosy." Sam explained

"Are you saying that we are nosy?" Jason said sounds offended.

"Nope, I'm not. I'm just sharing with you about Alexa's personality."

"How long have you been friends?" Jake asked.

"6 years already," I replied.

"It's quite long." Jake and Jason said in sync.

"Let's go to our room now," Jake said.

Our class ended and I didnt want to go to work because I kept remembering the conversation between me and Avery. However, I have to work. I'm saving up. I want to take a vacation abroad to see some nice places and views.

When I arrive at the cafe, it's already full, which means Jade is already here, perks of being beautifully handsome. I saw her serving drinks and desserts. I wear my apron and I'm now recieving some order and I immediately make a coffee. I felt my phone vibrate. I looked at it and received a text from Blair unnie.

Blair unnie

B: "Alexa, I need your help in the company. Can you help me?"

A: "Yeah, sure, when? Where?"

B: "Tomorrow at about 11:30 am. I will pay you"

A: "You don't have to"

B: "Nope, we already talked about that."

A: "Fine! sugar mommy"

B: "Okay, sugar baby, I'll see you later."

A:"Seeya!"

The Call Ends

"Who are you texting?" I got startled.

"Yah! Are you giving me a heart attack?" Jade just laughed.

"Finish what you are making. I'm going to serve that." I handed her the coffee and she served it.

I suddenly remember that I have research that I need to do. I don't have a laptop with me, and I needed to pass it on to Jakey, since he would be the one collecting it.

"Jade! Can I borrow your laptop?"

"Sure, it's in my locker, and you already know my password, don't you?"

"Yeah, thanks"

I got her laptop from her locker. I took a seat and started doing my research when I saw the advertisement. It says to find a match. I just shrugged it off. I'm not interested.

Avery's POV

I didnt get a chance to see my Alexa. My mom dragged me to the mansion because she said I needed a beauty rest because we held an audition. I disagree with that idea, but my mom already declared it and I can't do anything about it.

"Avery! Let's go, they are already waiting," My mom dragged me.

We are now sitting in the interview room. My dad, mom, and Chel Unnie are here as well. They are one of the judges. Someone knocked. It looks like the audition is now starting.

"State your name and tell me about yourself," Madie said to the man.

"Jaxon Adams, I'm a sexy lawyer. I can sing for you, and I'm attractive as hell".

"Yeah, go to hell," I snarled.

"Next!"

"Keith Anderson, 25 years old, a graduating student"

"Focus on studying"

"Next!!"

"Timothy Collins is a singer, dancer, and rapper. I can do anything you want me to do."

"I want you to leave"

"Next!!"

After an hour...

"I am Kade Weav-"

"Get out!!"

"Next!!"

"Wait, I haven't introduced myself"

"I already know you and your dad. You are the one who disrespected me, so get out! "

"That is the last one," Chel uttered.

"Avery, why are you so choosy?" My dad asked and he sighed.

"We are not going to stop until we find the one." My mom is very determine and desperate.

"I'm going now"

"Where are you going, sweetie?"

"Getting some lunch"

I left the room and rode the elevator. Chel unnie was running towards the elevator.

"Avery! Hold the door for me!!" She shouted and I let the door close.

"The audacity of that b***h, be thankful she is my cousin" Chelsea said in her thoughts and sighed.

The door opened and I saw the love of my life standing far away from me.

What is she doing here? Is she a participant in the audition? She is so attractive as hell.

She was scrolling through her phone when suddenly she was facing my direction. She smiled and I felt happy. She hides her phone in her pocket and runs. She opened her arms, indicating she wanted a hug. I felt excited when she suddenly passed me.

Did she just ignore me?

I looked back and I saw she's hugging Chelsea unnie. What the f**k?!?! WHY SHE'S HUGGING MY COUSIN. Dont tell me they have a relationship. That's why she refused my offer. FUCKK!! SHE KISSED MY COUSIN IN THE CHEEKSS AND THAT SHOULDD BE MEE. I'm going to kill Chelsea unnie later.

I heard her say, "Seah, I've been waiting here for 84 years." She give Chelsea a nickname while my nickname is kitten.

'For real?' I said in my thoughts.

"Poopoo I'm sorry I got busy. That's why. Don't worry, I'm going to treat you to lunch first. No buts okay? "

Poopoo?!?! Prepare for the unexpected, I am going to bury you 6 feet deep.

"Fineee but no fancy restaurants," She whines. She is so cute!!! Gosh, Alexa, you have my heart.

"Okay! Where do you want to eat?"

"Let's take out some McDonald's and have a picnic at the Han River."

"Lets go!" They were about to pass me when I suddenly started talking.

"Chel, where are you going?"

"Oh Avery, I thought you had left already."

"Where are you going?"

"Getting some lunch"

"Let's go!" I grab her hand.

"Where? " Chel is now confused.

"Getting some lunch"

"Avery, you have Madie here and I already have a companion here." I looked at Alexa and she was just scrolling through her phone. She's really ignoring me.

"I want to eat with you unnie"

"Wow! Are you sick? You want to eat with me and you even call me Unnie".

Is that even a big deal?

"No, I am not. I just want to eat with you. Don't act like we never eat together "

"Nah, it just this is the first time you invited me, thats why. But I have someone with me."

"Its fine, I dont mind. Let's go!"

"Wait! I'm going to ask her" Chel tapped Alexa's shoulder. "Lex, can my cousin join us?" She just nodded, "Thank you! Lets go "

Chelsea unnie hooks her arms around Alexa, the audacity of this woman. We are now in front of the building, and I'm waiting for Bobby. I heard Alexa and Chelsea laughing.

"You are not the same kid from the orphanage anymore," Chelsea said.

What does she mean about that?

"My Poopoo, why are you so savage nowadays?

"I'm not Blair unnie, I'm just being honest. You know me when I'm lying, right? "

It looks like they have known each other for a long time.

"Yah!!" My Alexa's head is locked by Chel unnie. I already had 100 ways to kill my cousin.

"Aw! I can't bre-athe le-t go. " I am really going to choke this chicken. Bobby had already arrived. He opened the door for me.

"Bobby, just follow my car." Chel said to Bobby, "Alexa, let's go to my car now."

"Chelsea unnie! Where are you going?" I really want to sit with my Alexa.

"At my car?"

"Can I ride in your car also?

"You have a car and a driver, Avery,"

"I want Bobby to rest and eat his lunch as well" Bobby and Chel are shocked.

"Ms. Halston, you don't have to. I can bring you to your destination first." I glared at him. "Thank you for kindness." He walked out

"Avery, are you sure you are feeling well?" Chel asked worriedly.

What is this chicken? I just want to make a good impression on Alexa.

"Yep, 101% sure."

"Okay? Let's go!" We walked toward her car, and Alexa suddenly stopped in front of the car door. "Lex, what's the problem?"

"Should I take the shotgun seat or the back?"

"You can take a seat beside me and Avery at the back since she hates sitting in the passenger seat." NO!! I can't let that happen. They will be too close to each other.

"I will sit beside you, Chel unnie."

"Bu-"

"No buts, Unnie, and let's hurry up, I'm hungry." I sat in the passenger seat and Alexa was in the back. I saw Chelsea unnie type something on her phone before starting the car. We arrived at a fancy restaurant. I thought Alexa wanted a McDonald's.

"Why are we here?" I asked and Chel looked at me confused.

"To eat?"

"I don't want to eat here."

"Okay? So where do you want? "

"McDonalds"

"You have never eaten fast food in your whole life, Ave."

"What? There was a first time for everything, unnie." She started driving again.

"She is really something", I heard Unnie mumble.

We arrive at McDonald's. I don't know what kind of food they have here. We got inside and people started looking at us. I forgot I'm famous because I also do modeling, but I stopped because I'm handling the company now.

People have started taking pictures of us without permission. There was also a guy who walked toward me and took a photo of me, and I felt uncomfortable. He really had the guts to do that without my permission.

"Mister Could you please delete that? and apologize to her."I heard a voice. I looked that way and saw my Alexa.

"Everyone in this restaurant, could you please delete the pictures?" She asked the other people who took some of my photo.

"Why should I huh?" The man said arrogantly and he took a photo again. Alexa snatched his phone. "Yah!! Give it back "

"Wait, I'm just going to delete the photos." She deleted the photos on his phone.

"Yah!!! Did you know what you were doing is invading privacy? " He spat

"Maybe yes, maybe no," Alexa said nonchalantly.

"I can file a case against you." He threatened, "You b***h, I'm going to see you at the court."

"Yeah whatever."

"YOU LITTLE PIECE OF s**t!! DONT MAKE ME CALL THE POLICE!! "

Alexa grabbed her phone and dialed someone.

"Hello, someone here wants to call the police. Could you come here please? We are McDonald's. We will be waiting here. Thank you." She hangs up. Actually, I really want to laugh now because this guy look dumbfounded.

"Mister let's wait for them and then we are going to talk about the rights" She said. "Everyone here, if I were you, I would delete Ms. Halston photos because we might also discuss the law." People here started deleting the pictures except this grumpy guy.

"Who the hell are you, huh?!?" The guy raised his voice.

"I'm Alexandra Smith, but just call me Alexa. It's not nice to meet someone like you."

"You don't know me, don't you?" Alexa just ignores him. "I am L-"

"I'm not interested"

"You son of a b***h!!"

"Okay, that's it. You called me b***h twice and piece of s**t once. You shouted at me and threatened me. I had enough. You already humiliated me in front of everyone. I didn't do anything bad to you. I asked you politely to delete the photos and to apologize to Ms. Halston. I didn't even intrude on your privacy; I simply deleted the photos. You made Ms. Halston uncomfortable, but here you are still taking a photo and being rude to her. I don't even care who you are or what you are. I don't care if you are a rich, powerful person, and even if you are the son of the President, I do not care and I will never be. If you want me to be scared of you, it will never happen, even in your dreams. " She smiled and faced me, "Ms. Halston, do you want to file a case against him?"

"No, you don't have to because you already deleted my photos," I said, glaring at the guy.

"Be thankful that she is kind, or else I'm going to make sure you live in prison for your whole life. That is not a threat, that is a warning," She winked at him.

"Let's just take out and go to the Han River to calm our nerves." Chel nodded.

She really always makes me happy. I really love her. I really want her. I really love you, Alexa.
