CHAPTER 6: Please

Alexa's POV

We are now in class. I didn't bother listening to the discussion because I was too busy staring out the window. Suddenly, someone started talking into the speaker.

"Ms. Alexandra Smith, could you please go to the principal office. I repeat, Ms. Alexandra Smith, could you go to the principal's office? "

"Did I do something wrong?" I asked Sam

"I don't know Lex but just go there." I nodded at her.

I walked to the principal office. I'm not nervous at all because I didn't do anything wrong. I knocked on the door and someone said, "Come in."

"You are asking for my presence?"

"Oh yeah, Ms. Smitg, someone wants to talk to you." Our principal said, "These are Mr. and Mrs. Halston. They are the owners of this school."

"But I don't want to eat dinner because I have already eaten!" She argues, "I'm going now. If you want to tell me something, just text me or my secretary. Bye" She was about to walk away, but I spoke.

"Bye, Avery" She came to a halt and looked at me.Her jaw dropped and she was shocked. "Be careful on your way"

"A-Alexa?" She said she looked confused.

"Yes, the one and only." I smiled at her.

She pinched her arm and composed herself when she felt the pain. "Why are you here?" She gained herself.

"To eat dinner with your parents and also you, but since you will now go"

"Let's eat!!" She said this and smiled at me.

"I thought you wanted to go home and you had already eaten," I asked her.

"Nope I am still hungry and you were supposed to have dinner with me, so here I am now. Let's eat now."

"Okay" She sat beside me and kept looking at me.

"Let's eat now and Avery stop staring at her." Mom said I looked at Avery and she kept looking at me.

"Avery, you should eat or you are really not hungry." I smiled at her and she blushed.

"I just can't believe you are here and I'm still hungry. You should eat a lot since they cook a lot. " I nodded and she smiled.

"Mom and Dad, you two should also eat now. You keep putting food in my plate."

We ate quietly. I saw in my peripheral vision that she was looking at me. It looks like she is eager to know why I am here. We went to the living room and sat on the couch. Avery sat beside me, and Mom and Dad sat beside each other in front of us.

"Sweetie, we will tell you something important and I am sure you will be happy." Dad said.

"Just make sure it makes me happy or else." She scowled at her father.

"Or else what?" When I asked her, she smiled and shook her head.

"We went to Alexa's school earlier. We talked to her about you. We asked her to marry you, but she refused because she is still young and has no feelings for you. We begged her, even tried to kneel in front of her, but she stopped us, saying that we didn't need to kneel at her and that she knew we were persistent, so she made a deal." Dad explained.

"What deal?" Avery asked and looked at me

"I told them I was going to try to fall for you and you were going to try to make me fall for you. In short, we were both going to try. Actually, I havent gotten attracted to anyone yet, but my dad said I havent gotten attracted to someone because I keep focusing on myself. That's why he told me to try to look at you. "Sweetie, she really fell for you hard," Mom said.

"I guess." I looked at her and she was also looking at me. "I will try my best to fall for her," I said, directly looking into her eyes. She blushed. Suddenly, I heard my phone ring.

Mom signed me up to answer the phone. I excuse myself and I look at the screen to see who is calling, and it's Sam.

It looks like I have an explanation to give since they caught me with the owner of the school.

School might stress me out...
