Keira’s POV.
I was well awake before the first light of day. For some reason, sleep totally eluded me after my little conversation with Jasper. I’d excused myself on the grounds of sleep but I really wasn’t feeling sleepy and stayed some good hours on the bed before I finally dozed off. But that didn’t quite last and I was awake again.
I heard sounds when Jasper left the house and I only wondered why he’d left so early. I wasn’t any more prepared to meet him than he was to avoid me. I lay in bed for what felt like am eternity before I finally found the push to get up on my feet. My phone rang and it was a call from the hospital saying my grandfather was fit to be discharged.
