Jasper's pov
I never thought there would be a day in my life where I would find a woman who is stubborn and possessive despite all conditions pointing lame at her. I wasn't proud of my predicament, it hurts me like hell that I couldn't use my legs. That I lost my Fiance due to my carelessness on a trip, my company was being threatened as my Marital status needed to be upgraded. It was too much for me to handle, I didn't picture my life to be sitting idle and immobile, waiting for a catastrophe to befall me and looking helpless.
No man would wish such a curse, it was a blizzard situation but I was soaked in it and there's nothing anyone could do about it.
After her defiant words and possessive words which I know were laced with greed for money from my family, I shrugged her off and focused on setting down and checking what has happened in my company for the past two months.
"Get the brown file, Clinton. I need to check stock shares on Crescent cables." My personal bodyguard guard, passed it to me and I glanced at it. More and more files were passed and I suddenly flinged all of them away, gritting my teeth in anger.
"Anything the Matter boss?" He asked me but my lips.
"Those bastards are withdrawing from the company and joining affiliates with Mart!" I seethed and rolled my wheel chair but he was quick to take over.
"I guess Mart is planning on taking all your Investors because of your health. But I don't think that should be a problem Sir, you have a wife now." He spewed out and I turned to give him a dirty glare.
"I didn't marry her, my mum did and first thing tomorrow morning, she's leaving my house!" I ordered with anticipation as anger boiled in veins and he couldn't hide the expression of shock on his face.
"But she's done nothing wrong but to accept you the way you are Boss, you both are legally married and sending her away would only breed space for your brothers and other investors to attack!"
I clicked my tongue at him and shook my head, " Accept me the way I am or accept my money? You don't seem to know women especially the gold diggers, lurking around and pretending to be sweet. Take me outside, you don't seem to know women at all." He didn't say a word and I didn't care either, all I wanted was my sanity and space to make things right and get up on my feet.
We wheeled past the living room when we both heard her voice her call, backing us completely and unaware of our presence.
"I don't care to know anything about your wife and Tessa, you lied to me in the face and told me I belonged to them. A freaking lie for twenty three years, I've done what is required as the money would be wired into your account. Just make sure grandfather is safe... yeah, I know...I'm married to a tycoon...bye already." She hung up the call and hissed and turned abruptly to face me looking startled.
"Gold digging much? The next damn call would be how to take over my company for your grandfather." I spat out in disgust and she shook her head Her soft lips quivered and she tucked a strand of her blonde hair to the back. I didn't like how her eyes looked, icy blue with layers of ash on her Irises. Dressed in a jeans short and a tank top that showed her curves and memories of her naked perky breasts came in view and I swallowed hard feeling so stupid.
"Good morning Jasper, I hope you had a wonderful night?" She ignored my question, smiling at me sheepishly. "And no, I would be thinking of ways to make you smile instead of taking over a company I know nothing about"
She expressed and smiled, looking totally unaffected by my words and I cleared my throat.
"Just get prepared to leave already, you're an eye sore in my house."
"I know that dear ungrateful husband, but the bitter truth is that I'm stuck with you and if you may excuse me, I need to prepare your breakfast immediately" She said dismissively and walked away from me , making me scoffed.
I was amused by her boldness, one minute she looks weak and fragile, the next second it's all about her feisty attitude.
"And who do we have here?" A deep voice distracted me as I turned to see my elder brother, walking Inside with his hands tucked in his pocket.
"Hello brother, it's good to see you again." He smirked walking past me to sit on the couch and I gritted my teeth.
My day is about to get so moody, I can already feel it in my blood.
"I didn't remember inviting you over Mart."
"You don't need to invite me before I check on my crippled brother. Even at this condition, you're still offered a pretty wife!"
"Are you jealous, is your wife so worn out that you're now looking at mine?" I couldn't help but feel elated at this bastard audacity, his presence was an eyesore. His cologne could make me puke and hell, I need to get the hell out of this place.
"I'm just here to remind you to look after your health seriously, we all need you alive and not struggling for a company that would be going to the rightful owner. Stay put and sit, don't do anything, don't fight okay?" He said with a smirk but I know he was passing a warning to me and I smiled back, looking stupid. It's way too early to start bantering with a man who had put on a façade to deceive my mother.
"Keira is way too pretty for a crippled person like you, I'll divorce my wife and have her anyway. Where is she?" He asked no one in particular and walked towards the direction of where she went to.
"I should stop him!" Clinton growled and walked after him but I stopped him.
"There's no need for that, she would still act like a slut all for money and besides, this would be the easiest way to get rid of her"
