Chapter Twenty-five Matthew was surprised to find Isaac wasn’t home when he returned from his shift at the pub. He’d mentioned doing the food shopping, but that was about it, and his car was on the drive. Perhaps he’d gone for a run, though he doubted it. The October weather was proving damp and dark, not the sort to spend time outdoors in voluntarily. Shrugging, Matthew headed into the kitchen and flipped on the kettle.
