Riley's P.O.V
I went home, feeling completely rejuvenated. I feel light and I feel happy. After all those, I thought I would carry the guilt for entire life, scarring me until I die, but no. There was light and that was Lauren's mother. I can already see that she's a wonderful woman. So wonderful, in fact, that when she disappeared, everything collapsed.
I drove home with a smile. Lauren brought her own car when we met so I didn't have to drive her home. The bruises and cuts that I gave her were still visible. It wasn't fully lit so I don't exactly know or didn't exactly see how far the bruise has darkened. Beating her up was wrong but she didn't ask me to apologize. She even stopped me from apologizing to her.
