Starting in the best way

After the plane ride that lasted thirteen hours without stopovers, Kate leaves the airport, having collected her luggage. Her Chinese friend Sophie is coming to pick her up. They have been best friends, if not sisters, for three years now.

Sophie is just like her, the same height, maybe a few centimetres more. Short hair and black eyes, but personality counts more.

It is already two in the afternoon, since Kate still doesn't have a phone and an internet plan, she doesn't know how to contact her friend.

Just as Kate was thinking that, that father talks.

"Yeah, we are so happy that our Sophie has found such a good friend in you, if not a sister, am i right?" her father says, with a bright smile. They all started laughing and heading towards the car. After putting the luggage in the car's trunk, they get into it, and finally the new chapter of her life starts.

Sophie and her family were talking, and Kate stayed silent to watch the waders outside the window.

They get to the restaurant which is more fancy than what Kate expected.

It must be really expensive here. It's uncomfortable, but I said everything could do, I can't take advantage of their kindness for too long.

She forces a smile on her face, and looking at her new family, says, "Oh what a beautiful place!"

After such a sumptuous lunch, they arrive at the house, which is very large. With floors that look like marble, a beautiful central staircase, and certainly there are many rooms.

When she said they were rich, I couldn't believe her, but now... This place is huge.

While Kate was admiring the place, Aunty called a maid to escort the guest to the room assigned to her, which is upstairs.

" Here, Kate, this maid will accompany you to your room, which is near to Sophie's. We let you prepare. Tomorrow morning we need to do shopping."

She and Sophie enter Kate's room after dismissing the maid who accompanied them. They close the door and sit on the bed, to chat, being their first meeting.

They settle under the covers holding hands without thinking about changing their clothes to sleep, and it can be said that it was a night full of peaceful dreams.
