Promised to a vampire

It's a sunny day in March, with not a cloud in the sky. In a simple bedroom of a house in the countryside of Verona, there is a girl twenty years old who is preparing herself. She has long wavy hair, her blue eyes seem like two sapphires. And her name is Kate. Humming a tune, she was looking at herself in the mirror, putting on a bit of makeup, as she didn't want to have it too heavy. Kate likes to be natural. She is preparing herself, because in the afternoon, she has an appointment with her boyfriend, Jake. A muscular type, blond and with two blue eyes like a prince. Kate loves him so much. He said he was going to surprise her this afternoon. It's already three years since he proposed to her during high school. Kate finishes her makeup with a little blush on her cheeks, and with a little chuckle, gets up to put on one of her most elegant dresses. A black dress with a v-neckline, made of silk. Paired with a black cardigan. She puts on her ten-centimetre shoes, black too, and she is ready to go, with her new bag, that gives color to the coordinate, being red, white, yellow and black. Kate goes to the kitchen to say goodbye to her mother, giving her a kiss on the cheek. Then she leaves the house, gets into her mother's car, and after starting the engine, she goes on the road. There is a bit of traffic, but she gets to her favorite restaurant in less than an hour. As soon as she gets out of the car, she realizes how people are admiring her for her remarkable beauty. She walks, looking at the asphalt, and, with a small smile on her lips, enters the restaurant. Just inside, she gets shocked and comes out again like lighting entering the car. Arriving home, she gets into her room, takes out her suitcase and a duffel bag, to throw in clothes, shoes, devices... and everything that ended up in her hands. Her mother, worried about how her daughter came home so early, and in such an agitated state. After drying her hands with a towel, she heads to her daughter's room, knocking on the door. "Like this, suddenly?" Mother and daughter move to the kitchen to continue their conversation. Kate opens her laptop, to book a one-way ticket. Since it's five o'clock in the afternoon, her mother decided to start preparing dinner. "Yes, I have to continue my studies, and this is the perfect chance. Since I always wanted to study languages, I decided to get into Beijing Language and Culture University. And no, mom, there is nothing you can do to change my mind." Her mother is still in her fifties, and she is sad, since her only daughter is going far away from her. But she knows her daughter's personality, and that she wants to be independent. During dinner, her father came, so they updated him. It's sleeping time, but Kate doesn't seem to get sleepy, she is turning in her bed, with a hurricane of thought in her head. She needs to get up at seven in the morning, but she barely got two hours of sleep. New day, still sunny like yesterday, and Kate is busy trying to find all of her documents. Her parents are still sleeping since it's Sunday. Why can't I find anything when I need it? She gets in the car after half an hour later of preparing herself. And she is also wearing her glasses, to look more classy and nerdy at the same time. Today is the day for the ultimate control. She had already said to her boyfriend that they can't meet in these two days, because she was busy with a project. The day passes fast, and it's already time for dinner.
