“W-What the hell, Vera!”

Vera suddenly startled him and he didn’t even saw her get out of her sit and went on his back. Did she saw how he look into Timothy’s post?

“You don’t need to ask me, Riodio, and yes, I saw you looking on Timothy’s wall, you still like him! Admit it! Duh, you are still into the guy, are you going to comfort him now? Just ask if he is okay? Or maybe ask him to go out and drink?” she said.

Rio sighed, “How could I do that? We are not that close, Vera, since he came back here after few years, I didn’t get a chance to have a talk with him, he just added me on f*******: because he’s one of the officers in charge for the block’s reunion.” He said.

Yes, Timothy contacted him in one of his social media accounts to tell him that they will have a reunion. They will graduate high school now and he will enter college soon, he should focus himself not with boys but in studying because he will soon handle one of their companies.

“I am not interested to talk with him about how his heart was broken, Vera. Could you please stop telling me that?” he said and rolled his eyes again on his cousin.

“I am not interested, but you were browsing on his posts and I saw you! Don’t lie to me, Rio, come one, we are going to college soon, yes and entering college is very hard, studying is very hard so we should enjoy now!” Vera said and jump on his bed and hugged him.

Rio sighed, if Vera was being like this and she’s not listening to him anymore, he will just go with the flow.

“Okay, so what should I tell him? I bet he will not going to respond.” He said and went to Timothy’s profile and click the message button.

When he looked at Vera he saw her smiling from ear to ear.

“My dear cousin, Timothy respects you and admire you as the batch valedictorian, even though he transferred to other school he knows that because of our group chat right? He even congratulated you, bish! But you didn’t even replied to his message in our group chat, he even mentioned you.” Vera said.

When he heard that he stopped from typing a message for Timothy. When did he congratulated him because he’s the batch valedictorian? He can’t remember! Is Vera teasing him again?

“I can’t remember something like that happened, Vera.” He said.

He wasn’t always opening his social media accounts maybe he skipped that.

“Like duh, after the release of the honors, Matilda took a photo of the list and send it to the group chat, our classmates congratulated you for being the batch valedictorian, you even told them thank you but I think when you logged out that’s when Timothy appeared  and congratulated you,”

“But because our other classmates congratulated you again and talk about some staffs at school Timothy’s messages was covered.” She said.

Okay, he didn’t know that. Did Timothy think that he ignored him? Maybe not… or yeah?

“Go, message him now, come one, Rio, there’s nothing to be shy, you are going to do this because you wanted to comfort him as a friend, you are not going to do this because you wanted his attention and you wanted to flirt—

“Vera!” he said because Vera started to say unnecessary words again. That’s what he doesn’t like about his bish cousin.

“Oops, my bad. Okay, I am going to shut my mouth but you need to show me if you already message him.” She said and crossed her arms.

Rio was lost count on how many times he sighed that morning because of his bsih cousin Vera.

He went back on typing his message to Timothy and think of how he will tell him that he wanted to go out to have a drink.

Should I ask frist what happened because of his post? Should I put here that I saw his post and it all looks problematic?

He looked at Vera because he doesn’t know what he would tell to Timothy first.

“What? I thought you don’t need my help there.” She said.

“What should I say to him, Vera? Where should I start the conversation? I don’t really know how. Could you be the one to message him and tell him that we could hang out later?” he said.

Vera rolled her eyes on him, “Bish! Of course if I did that Timothy might think that I like him because I moved like that, just do it, I don’t want to be mistaken that I like timothy and I invited him to go out.” She said.

Vera was really hard to please but if she’s the one who will tell him something to do, she will blackmail him to do it.

Rio sighed and then typed a message.

“I saw your posts, man, are you okay? Do you want to hang out toniht to talk about your problems?”

He hit the send button and then he saw his message was highlighted, it seems like Timothy was still online because the check circle highlighted so fast.

“What did you tell him? May I see?” Vera asked.

He handed her his phone and showed him what he message.

“Wow, so concerned, but are you really sad or happy because you can now get a chance?” Vera said smiling.

He shook his head, he never thought Timothy would like him, even in his imagination it was so impossible for Timothy to fall for him. The big reason is that—he’s like him, a male. He knows that Timothy doesn’t cross like that.

“Oh, Rio… he replied.” Vera said and looked at him.

Rio suddenly went near her and then looked on his cellphone that was holding by Vera.

“Sure, man, I really need someone to talk to right now because of what happened, Thank you for checking up on me and thank you for asking me if I am okay. By the way, congratulations, you did great again, Rio.”

Vera handed him his phone and squeal, his cousin jump and turn around few times and then he went to him and hold his hand.

“Oh my goodness! So he agreed, am I going with you later? Or are you going alone?” she asked.

Of course he needs Vera, he always need his bish   cousin even though she is always annoying in his eyes, and he needs her because she knows when to stop him.

“Yes, please. I am also nervous, you know that I don’t usually go out at night or even in daylight.” He said.

“Okay, wait, just to be safe, let’s go to one of my brother’s bar here in the city, I will just ask him if for permission.” Vera said and took her phone and type on it.

Rio smiled.

Nervous but… excited.
