Introduction about the contract types for Copyright cooperation with NovelCat   There are three cooperation modes, which include: pure share, guaranteed share, and buyout.   The differences between them are mainly copyright and payment.     Note: All the exclusive cooperation means all rights and copyright of your novels belong to our platform. You cannot sign with another party in the future. You must remove your works from other platforms if you have published them on the third platform.   1. The first cooperation mode is the pure share model.   The pure share model has two cooperation types: exclusive share & non-exclusive share.   (1) Exclusive share means that after the author signs a contract with us, the work can no longer be authorized to third-party platforms or individuals. At the same time, to encourage authors to create good novels, we have offered you great writer benefits online. It includes the signing bonus, updating bonus, and completion bonus mentioned on our website. We will also pay you 50% of the subscription fee from your works according to the contract requirement. We will make free novel covers for your novels.    Note:    Writer benefits can only be applied by authors who signed the exclusive share type of contract.   (2) Non-exclusive share   The difference between non-exclusive and exclusive is that in non-exclusive cooperation, any rights granted to us by the author can be authorized to a third party in the same way.   Source of income: 50% of the total subscription revenue of the work after deducting the operating cost.   Note:  If there is a suitable promotion opportunity on a third-party platform, we will first communicate with you and obtain your permission before proceeding. The more popular your novel is, the higher your income will be. If readers pay for your chapters, you will know from the author's center. We will pay according to the contract requirement.          2.The second cooperation mode is the guaranteed share model.   The difference between the guaranteed share and the pure share cooperation model is that we will prepay the author a fee to admit your work. It can be a fixed fee. Otherwise, we will decide the remuneration regarding the length and quality of your work. Generally speaking, works with good data or experienced writers will be invited for the contract type.   The guaranteed share model has two cooperation modes, exclusive guaranteed share, and non-exclusive guaranteed share.    1) Exclusive guaranteed share   Source of income: Advanced payment+ 50% of the total subscription revenue of the work.   Note:    We pay you a fixed amount of money in advance if you want. When your novel starts generating earnings, we will deduct the advanced payment from your income. If your earnings are over our advanced money, we will pay the remaining fee to you.   For example, the website pays a minimum guarantee of US$500 to author A, but A's total subscription income has not exceeded the advanced payment of US$500. In this case, we will not pay you the share of your income.   (2) Non-exclusive guaranteed share   Source of income: Advanced payment + 50% of % of the total subscription revenue of the work.   The income sharing of non-exclusive guaranteed shares is the same as the exclusive guaranteed share. The only difference is your copyright condition.         3.The third cooperation mode is the monopoly (Buy out).   Buy-out has two cooperation types: exclusive buyout and non-exclusive buyout.   (1) Exclusive buyout means that you must make sure you do not sign any contract about your corresponding novels to other platforms. We will send you the one-off payment to buy your works and all copyrights. After we sign a buyout contract, all rights and copyrights of your novels belong to our platform，. You cannot sign with another party in the future. You must remove your works from other platforms if you publish your work on them. The subscription income of subsequent works and any derivative adaptations into film and television or the cost of publication has nothing to do with the author.   This kind of cooperation mode is convenient for the authors to get the remuneration of the work at one time. It can save unnecessary communication troubles in the follow-up.   (2) Non-exclusive buyout   We will send you a one-off payment to buy your novels and all copyrights. But the price will be lower than the exclusive buyout contract. You still can sign your works to other platforms if you want and don't need to remove your novel from other platforms. However, we don't need to pay anything for you in the future.    To sum up:   1. All cooperation modes are divided into exclusive and non-exclusive. The exclusive cooperation model means that your work is exclusively published. The second contract with any other party is a violation of the rights and obligations in the cooperation. Once we find it out, the author has to bear serious consequences. The non-exclusive cooperation model means that the author has the right to re-control the copyright of the work. 2. Existing writer benefits can only be applied by authors who signed the exclusive share. 3. All advanced payments are for the authors to create more stable creations and ensure the author's source of income. The prepaid cooperation model means that the author does not need to bear the risk of the sale of the work.
