Blurb

On a night when the full moon burned brightly over Seoul, Kang Taejun....the undefeated racing champion and heir to Kang Motors...lost control of his car after a sudden brake failure at the Yongin circuit. At that very same moment, in a small apartment in Mapo, twenty-year-old sculpture student Han Seoah was holding her dying black cat, Bam, in her trembling arms.

The instant Taejun’s heart stopped, his wandering soul was drawn into the lifeless body of Bam. The black cat opened its eyes again....no longer with the innocence of an animal, but with the sharp, awakened gaze of a man who once stood at the peak of fame.

Taejun soon realizes his human body remains in a coma, and that the crash may have been no accident, but a calculated move in a ruthless family power struggle.

Han Seoah begins to notice that Bam has changed. He refuses cat food, watches racing broadcasts with intense focus, and even scratches the name “Kang Taejun” into the clay in her studio.

As Han Seoah searches for answers, she is drawn into the dark secrets of the Kang family, while unseen enemies work to erase the truth.

Trapped inside a fragile feline body, Taejun experiences a world far removed from roaring engines and flashing cameras, a quiet life filled with the scent of clay, plaster-stained hands, and the warmth of a small, imperfect home.

Under the moonlight spilling into her studio, Han Seoah whispers that if Bam were human, she would have fallen in love with him already, words that stir something unfamiliar in Taejun’s guarded heart.

As the truth edges closer to exposure, Taejun feels his soul being pulled back toward his comatose body.

He must choose: awaken to reclaim his name, power, and vengeance, or abandon it all to remain by Han Seoah ’s side as a black cat beneath the same moon that bound their fates together.

For on that night when the moon shone too brightly, the champion fell… and a love beyond status and flesh quietly began.

Episode 1: The Night the Champion Died
The full moon burned over Seoul. Engines screamed across the Yongin circuit, tires shredding asphalt as the final lap began. The grandstands were on their feet, a sea of flashing lights and roaring voices shaking the night air. Kang Taejun was in first place. As always. Number 7 blazed across his black-and-red race car like a declaration of war. The machine cut through the track with surgical precision, every turn clean, every acceleration merciless. Inside the cockpit, Taejun’s eyes were cold. Focused. Untouchable. Victory was already his. “Gap is holding at 2.4 seconds,” the race engineer’s voice crackled through his earpiece. “Bring it home, Taejun.” His grip on the steering wheel remained steady. “Understood.” One more curve……! One more straight.……! Another flawless win to add to his record. Then….. BRAKE WARNING A sharp red alert flashed across the dashboard. Taejun’s brow twitched. He pressed the brake. (Nothing…..?) His pupils shrank. Again. And…Harder. Still nothing….? For the first time in years… Kang Taejun felt it….Fear. A thin, cold thread slid down his spine. Inside the pit control room, the atmosphere exploded into chaos. “Something’s wrong with Car Seven!” “Brake pressure is dropping….. wait… no…!” Static burst across the comm line. “Taejun, we’re reading abnormal…..” The signal cut for half a second. Too clean….! Too sudden.….! Back on the track, Taejun’s gaze sharpened dangerously. (…That drop pattern…) It wasn’t gradual. It wasn’t mechanical fatigue. It was as if….. Something had been touched. But there was no time to think. The final curve rushed toward him like the open mouth of death. Too fast. Too close. Too late. The steering wheel jerked violently in his grip as the car screamed forward, completely out of control. The crowd’s roar twisted into scattered screams. (Not like this.) His jaw tightened. Metal shrieked. Glass exploded. And under the merciless full moon….The undefeated champion crashed. Across the city….In a small Mapo apartment….Han Seoah was holding her dying cat. “Bam… stay with me… please…” Her voice trembled despite how carefully she tried to steady it. The tiny black Persian in her arms was frighteningly still, its once-soft breathing now shallow and uneven. The room smelled faintly of clay and turpentine, half-finished sculptures crowding the small space around her. Seoah’s fingers shook as she gently stroked Bam’s head. “You promised you’d stay with me, remember…?” The cat gave one weak tremble. Outside the window. The same full moon watched in silence. A tear slid down Seoah’s cheek and landed softly on black fur. “…Bam?” The tiny body twitched once more. Then…..Went still. Completely still. “…No.” Her breath broke. “No, no, no… Bam…..!” She pulled the small body closer to her chest as if warmth alone could force life back into him. But the silence in her arms only grew heavier. Outside, somewhere far away….Sirens began to wail. Back at the Yongin circuit…..Smoke curled from the wreckage of Car Seven. Emergency crews swarmed the track, red lights spinning wildly across twisted metal and scattered debris. The smell of burnt rubber and fuel hung thick in the night air. “Driver unresponsive!” “Get the extraction team… now!” Inside the crushed cockpit….Kang Taejun did not move. Monitors screamed. Hands worked frantically. And somewhere beneath shattered glass and mangled steel….Kang Taejun’s heart stopped. Under the same cold moon that watched over Seoul….Two lives…..Quietly…..Slipped out of place.
