AUTHORS NOTE:
So, in omegaverse there exists many variations and iterations. Here I will explain how the omegaverse, its characters and everything work in this book.
Blood Ranking
Here there are three rankings,: Alpha, Beta, Omega.
ALPHA: Red eyes in wolf form
●Pureblooded Alpha: The Alphas who have inherited Alpha genes from both their Parents. They have a special gift beyond normal werewolf abilities. They are the strongest of the wolves, but due to them being feared, they were hunted badly and hardly anyone left. (Our Ashton)
●Alpha: Do not have both the Alpha genes. However they are dominant.
●Sub-Alpha: Less dominant than Alpha due to defective gene. (A very common phenomenon as the Alpha genes are unstable)
BETA : Grey eyes in wolf form.
●Dom-beta: Both are beta genes. They tend to be almost as dominant as sub alphas
●Sub-beta: Not very dominant. They blend easiest with the humans. Have the best control of their wolf form.
OMEGA: blue eyes in wolf form.
They do not have any sub categories. They are usually paired up with Alphas because they have strongest fertility rate. However its not mandatory.
Male omegas are very very rare as they can be genetically unstable (Our Caleb)
Female omegas are much more common in occurrences.
SO, HOW DOES THE PACK SYSTEM WORK?
Pack leader: aka Head Alpha
Usually an Alpha or Subalpha (in case pureblooded aloha exist, then its them) who is deemed fit is chosen to rule the Pack. After years of inheritance, it had however become a family things. (Like how king's son is the next king kind of thing)
Second in Command: Head Beta
Chosen by the current Alpha, usually a Sub-Alpha or Dom-Beta.
Third in command: Head Gamma
Usually any Beta can be a gamma of the group.
SO, HOW DOES MATING WORK?
●Fated Mates:
A very rare phenomenon which happens in 0.001% of existing werewolves here. According to the legend, they are believed to be the lucky ones who were deemed lucky to be blessed by the moon Goddess to have a perfect soulmate.
●Chosen Mates:
Basically the wolves choose their mates. Traditionally preferred is Alpha omega pairing, but in this book...everything will happen (cause its mordern era)
WHAT ABOUT MY MAIN COUPLE:
They are not Fated mates, they will be chosen ones. So, their story will take time to develop. So, if you are willing to read a slow burn romance, this is definitely your story.
