One: Remembrance Of Love
Sariel
He remembered the last time he held Angelique in his arms, when she was his Angelique. She was about to be married off to some disreputable, libertine Lord by her father, but they had been seeing one another secretly for over eight years.
He kissed her good morning, and she curled into his body warmth, and tried to go back to sleep. "Five more minutes, love, please," She groaned sleepily.
He smoothed her blonde hair out of her face, and kissed her again, "I cannot stay, my love, you know that. I have to leave."
He rolled out of bed, his bare feet cold upon the cool stones of his beloved's bedchamber. He found his clothes and began putting them on. He went to the fireplace and snapped his fingers, making fire instantly ignite the logs that were half burnt inside from last night.
Angelique padded out of bed, boldly naked, his little love bites from last night around her perfect breasts and swan-like neck marking her as his. She had tears in her eyes.
"Sariel, please," She begged tearfully. "Wherever you go, I go too, remember? Make me your Queen. I don't care about the dangers, I love you so much."
He cupped her face with his hands, and kissed her passionately, as he held her close. But there was something wrong. He could hear movement come up the stairs, and before he could react, her father was in the room.
He yanked his daughter off of him, and ran her through with his sword. The tower room became ice cold as the rage in the Demon King ignited.
Sariel summoned his fiery sword, and said, "You're too late, mortal. Angelique is mine. She will be mine until the end of time."
Her father brandished his sword. "It doesn't matter, I'm still gonna kill you, demon."
Sariel laughed, "I would like to see you try."
The two men, human Lord and demon King faced off against one another. But Angelique's father was no match for the Demon King's superior skills and powers, and when he was beheaded, and torn to shreds, he went back to his beloved.
He wept as he had never done before as he held his true love in his arms for the last time. He carried her soul to the Underworld, and tried to argue with Lord Azriel, the King of the Reaper angels, to allow Angelique to be his Queen. But they adamantly refused, and said that he had debased himself with human women for the last time.
So it was that a sentence was passed, that unless his true love's soul was sold to him, he would never possess it ever again.
Sariel summoned his fiery sword, and said, "You're too late, mortal. Angelique is mine. She will be mine until the end of time."
Her father brandished his sword. "It doesn't matter, I'm still gonna kill you, demon."

So it was, that Sariel, a Demon King, waited, and looked after every soul incarnation of his beloved Angelique. He almost gave up hope, until a young couple decided to sell their daughter's soul to him, and that is when he found her in dreams once more...
