The Agent I spoke with must have seniority in this place. Therefore, my arrest needs to be serious enough that I will be interviewed by him, yet not so bad he can’t release me without arousing suspicion. The Agent knew who I was but didn’t let on. He thinks I will lead him to Kerina, which means he didn’t give the order for the ambush. Someone more powerful did and kept that Agent out of the loop. But why? Especially when the Agent obviously knows about the Okodee people. I have little choice but to approach him. This man still has enough power and sway to find out more than I can.
