Raider and I wait for Elgee to join us. Vera paces the path, impatient. Finally, Elgee appears from within the shadows.
‘She’s in,’ he says.
‘That’s not good, because we’ve got a new problem,’ says Raider.
‘What kind of problem?’ says Vera. ‘I thought you had everything under control.’
Raider sighs. ‘It was under control. But I just got word about something else that’s been going down.’
‘To do with Kerina?’ I ask.
Raider shakes his head. ‘Not initially. Some sympathisers we know have been undercover following a lead of traders. Trying to find out where the supply and demand is coming from. They had a face-to-face meet with the traders, who were bragging about how they’re gonna catch the biggest trade yet. They showed our friends an image of the person they’re looking for.
