We arrive back at Raider’s house. Our escape was perfect, almost too easy. Elgee sits at the table, his head held up by his hands.
‘Where’s Saxon?’ I say.
‘He got arrested.’
‘What?’
‘That’s okay, Ryen can get him out,’ says Vera.
Elgee shakes his head. ‘Don’t think he’s going where Ryen can get to him.’
