"I specifically suggested that you wear pants for a reason you know." I said pointedly as I finished eyeing him appreciatively.
"No worries, I really wanted to wear the dress and after remembering your heads up, I decided to wear some shorts." Ezra said as a beautiful grin stretched onto his flawless face.
I could see why he would go to such lengths; he looked beyond words. His long and beautiful blonde hair was curled slightly and cascaded over his shoulder. There was a light dusting of makeup around his eyes and his lips shimmering with lip gloss. He giggled bringing me back from my thoughts making me realize that I had been staring at him.
I felt a slight blush on my cheeks as I gestured for him to walk to my car. We walked in comfortable silence until I was driving us to the destination in mind.
"So, where are we going?" He asked me, I knew it was coming.
"It's a surprise gorgeous." I said turning briefly to wink at his blushing cheeks.
"Gimme a hint!" He whined cutely.
I just laughed refusing to let up.
**********
I didn't miss the way his eyes lit up as he stared at his surprise. He squealed and turned to me and hugged me.
"A zoo! How did you know?!" He exclaimed.
"It was logical deduction. You remind me of a bunny and I stalked you on f*******: while planning our date."
"Is it weird that I found that last part endearing instead of creepy?" He asked, perplexed.
"It works in my favor so let's roll with it."
He laughed and motioned for me to hurry up to the gates. I paid for our entrance and bought a map for us. Ezra was extremely excited to visit the wolves so we - well he dragged me- made quick work of trekking to the enclosure.
It seemed that he wasn't the only one that wanted to see them because there was an impressive crowd. The beasts, however, seemed to have a great liking to him because as soon as he made it up to the glass that separated us from them, they began pawing at his hands. Onlookers made awing sounds at the agreeably adorable scene.
After some time, Ezra reluctantly leaned off the glass and proclaimed that we would visit the other animals and then make trip back to visit his "furry babies".
His smile never left his face as we rounded the entire compound. The animals seemed to love his company as much as he did theirs. But then we arrived at the habitat that I had been anticipating.
The rabbit enclosure.
I can only say one word that has everything that I want to describe the sight Ezra surrounded by hundreds of his kind.
Adorable.
I pulled my phone out and took a quick picture. I enjoyed the view for a while before realizing the we had to leave soon if he still wanted to visit the wolves and for us to be on time for our next stop.
***********
We made it to our next stop on time at five o'clock. He was excited again, eyes sparkling up at me.
We were at a gun range.
His online profile was very detailed. He should fix that actually.
"Stalker." He accused as he smiled.
"Maybe."
Everything was going smoothly and when my watch read seven, it was time for the last stage.
In the car, on our way to the last adventure before dinner, I asked him to put on the blindfold that I had for him. He eyed me for a minute before tying over his eyes.
I parked in the amusement park parking lot and made my way to the passenger side door to help him out. I lead him through the park to the Ferris Wheel. His head was turning continuously because of the numerous sounds that he was hearing but I didn't remove the blind until we were seated.
He was in awe again; I like that look on his face the most.
I felt like I could just reach out and steal a kiss from his perfectly glossed lips, but I didn't want to freak him out.
After going around twice, we made our way to my family's restaurant. When we took our seat and Jeff, our waiter said my name with the honorific 'Master', Ezra narrowed his eyes at me.
"You do work in the ice cream shop, right?"
"That's my aunt's place so I work for free."
He hummed and let the topic go, seemingly uninterested. That's a first.
"Why?"
"Just curious, but money doesn't interest me."
"Why?"
"Do you know who my parents and god-parents are?"
"No..."
"My parents are Edward and Karen Knight and my godparents are Dean and Marie Stryker." He said while smiling fondly.
I was stunned. Edward Knight was the owner of Knight Inc., a multi-million-dollar company, married to an ex- supermodel named Karen Knight. The Dean and Marie Stryker own different types of businesses ranging from food to engineering making them multi-millionaires as well. His home isn't extravagant, so I would never have guessed.
"Feeling jealous?" He asked.
I smirked, "My mother and farther are famous people as well, Kyle and Holly Green."
"The actors?" He asked, impressed.
"Yeah..."
Our conversation drifted into menial things and the company was enjoyable. The shine in his eyes didn't leave even after we arrived at his house. He was fidgeting, and I was about to ask if something was wrong, but my lips were sealed with his.
The kiss itself was brief, promising, soft and warm. But as soon as it began it ended. He pulled away, smiled up at me and hurried into his house. I didn't miss the blush that crept onto his cheeks as he left.
The sight made a stupid grin spread onto my face.
Super adorable.
