(Elina's POV)
My wolf, Tina, bristled sharply as Seraphina’s sweet, submissive tone echoed across the training arena.
"Alpha King," she purred, tilting her head slightly, exposing her neck—a calculated gesture of submission. "What an unexpected pleasure to find you here."
It was an act. And it only intensified as her dominant pheromones flooded my direction, her wolf clearly attempting to provoke mine.
Tina growled softly, the low rumble vibrating in my chest, but I forced her to stay contained.
Reacting to her bait would serve no one but Seraphina.
"Just working on some basic defensive skills," I responded casually, forcing my voice to remain steady. My gaze flickered between her and Rhysand as I spoke. "Given recent events, it seemed… necessary."
