Unbelievable

The wedding atmosphere, which was warm and solemn, suddenly became chaotic because of Gwen's sudden arrival. Rayden panicked as he endured the pain of her high-heeled shoe hurting his cheek, as well as the guests who were filming the horrendous incident. What hurt even more was... the bride was Giselle, the most influential investor of one of The Park Group stores and Gwen's best friend since high school. “What's going on?” “What's wrong?” Gwen laughed at the guest's question. “I'm embarrassed to say it... but this jerk is still married to me! Then why did he remarry?” “It's only natural for his wife to have a mental breakdown.” The silver-haired man spoke up and stood close to Gwen. The shoulder-length black-haired woman took off her glasses to the excitement of the guests, who were busy recording the incident. Gwen squinted. “I knew it... My father-in-law intervened in favor of this illegal marriage.” Then, the aged man, who still looked dashing in his tuxedo, looked at the audience. “Is this marriage illegal? Everyone knows that my daughter-in-law is suffering from a severe mental illness. How can such a situation support her husband of my son?” Gwen clucked in annoyance. The aged man had an excuse. He was very good at talking and getting sympathy. “Is this how you get revenge?” “Revenge for what? We can not force sick people. We have to tolerate it.” Gwen chuckled. “You're the one sick! You must have been nervous when Rayden ran for office and I did not help him, right? You're afraid of the same thing happening when you run for council, right?” “The audience is well aware of Director Gwen's health news in the media, right? Let's not judge!” Rayden's father continued, leaving Gwen dumbfounded. For all she knew, Rayden had asked her secretary to remove all news and rumors about her health from the media while visiting her in the hospital. But why is everything so ambiguous? The public already knew? Then, Gwen's eyes glanced sarcastically at Rayden, who was grimacing in pain in front of his new wife along with her shiny eyes. The chest felt very tight. It hurt like hell. Gwen had been betrayed to that extent. He wanted to curse, but his tongue was suddenly frozen because he had to endure pain elsewhere. In her heart. “Gwen...” Rayden called softly. “After this, I will take care of our divorce.” Gwen stared at the man coldly. Her body trembled from the rage that seemed to have peaked. Her hands were clenched into tight fists. She didn't need to reply to Rayden's words when her anger could no longer be contained. However, his anger escalated when he saw Giselle's calm gaze. It was so painful that Gwen couldn't bring herself to curse. In the end, the anger exploded like fireworks at the turn of the year as a way of responding to Rayden. Gwen dropped everything around her, breaking flowers and other decorations. She also threw them at Rayden and his new wife, as well as at her in-laws and in various directions. “Where's security?!” shouted Rayden. “Take her out, please!” But then Gwen's feet suddenly stopped moving. She was screaming uncontrollably when a man in a suit carried her away amidst the chaotic atmosphere. “Let go of me!” Gwen shouted rebelliously. But the man was too strong. Her rebellion had no effect, and neither did her cursing. Until the dashing man finally dropped the disheveled Gwen behind a deserted building. “What the hell?! You're in cahoots with them, right, Jordan?” protested Gwen angrily. “I am! They all betrayed me.” The man didn't answer right away. He calmly straightened his clothes, which annoyed Gwen until she kicked him. Unfortunately, the kick made Gwen bounce and fall on the grass. “Argh!” Gwen winced. “Does having a tantrum at the wedding altar change anything?” Jordan asked with a flat face, then offered his hand. “There must be a lot on the internet about this incident.” Gwen looked at the hand. First, she could probably spot many enemies with just the touch of that hand with the psychometric abilities she had after crashing herself in the streets - exactly a month before she was rushed to the mental hospital. Second, she was unwilling to accept a favor that led to betrayal. How disgusting. “No need! I can stand myself!” insisted Gwen as she slowly got up and left Jordan's presence. “There will be a lot of reporters at your house.” Jordan's words held her back. “What do you want from a crazy woman like me?!” Gwen screeched at her former bodyguard. No, Gwen had not even fired him yet. But it could happen, since it had been more than six months of not escorting. “I'm just giving you info. It will be dangerous if you go straight home. You might be forced back to the mental hospital and left to live in the observation room alone. You'd be isolated. Do you want that to happen?” Jordan said calmly without expression. His sharp hazel eyes were mesmerizing. Two pairs of eyes that were always perceptive when looking after Gwen in her prime. Gwen was left in silence to absorb Jordan's entire sentence. “You may have had a mental breakdown after the miscarriage. But you are not crazy.” Again, Jordan made Gwen tremble. It was as if she had gotten a glimmer of light, then extinguished as a form of self-protection. “You think I am going to believe your sweet words?” Gwen snapped. “I don't think we are that close to trusting each other. My husband and I were supposed to trust each other, but we betrayed each other.” The expensive woman in a black Jess Double Collar Mini Dress left Jordan frozen in place. Gwen chose not to trust anyone. Even so, she used Jordan's message as a consideration to be careful of the situation out there. With sunglasses on, Gwen rode a taxi secretly because her house was under a press siege. Gwen must have gone viral. She then asked the driver to take her to The Park Hotel, which she manages. “Prepare a suite room for me. Hurry up!” Gwen asked the receptionist. “Sorry, Ma'am. You can not just order arbitrarily.” “Arbitrarily? Me?” Gwen laughed. “You are the new employee? I own this hotel.” “I know. But...” The hotel manager came in and explained that all of Gwen Olivia's assets were temporarily suspended because the head of the company was taken over by Rayden Jo. Gwen's world suddenly collapsed. She could not react to anything. It felt like she was floating in a world without gravity along with hundreds of journalists who filled the main door to take pictures and info about Gwen. The woman turned her head for a moment. She saw the camera flash like truck headlights about to hit her. She was sweating, her heart beating above average. However, suddenly a man stood over her as if he was booking a hotel room. His presence did not even make Gwen realize it. It was too difficult for her to digest the situation. Even so, she slowly looked up, staring at the man, who was much taller than her with her remaining strength. Jordan. Coincidence or intentionality? “Face forward! Stay like this for a while!” Jordan whispered, pulling himself closer to cover him from the reporters.
