Martha Sutton looked both astonished and alarmed as she came to the door of her home to find her husband and two strange men walking up the steps of her front porch. “Martha, Martha look here. It’s Dann’l,” her husband called out. Martha put her hand to her chest and leaned against the doorframe. ”My land, oh my land. Oh your poor mother! How she grieved.
