I was resting at the poolside when my phone started ringing. I groaned inwardly as I retrieved it from the table beside my chair.
I wanted to have a chill afternoon without disturbance but now, someone was calling me. As I glanced at the screen to see who the caller was, I sat upright on the reclining chair.
Why was my bank calling me?
“Talk to me,” I demanded as I answered the phone.
“Good day, Mr. Giovanni.” The man greeted calmly. “There’s a large transaction about to happen on your card. I just wanted to cross-check and make sure that you are aware.”
I nodded even though he couldn’t see me. “Sure, I’m aware,” I replied, running my hands through my hair. “How much is it though?”
I had given Ava my card to go shopping earlier. But it was weird
