I had no idea when I slept off, but I woke up to numerous calls from Bonnie. I wanted to return the call but I decided to check our texts instead.
When I saw the numerous texts about the package's arrival, I rose from the couch and rushed outside to the gate. I made sure to delete the texts as soon as I got there.
“What do you want?” One of the security guards questioned in a condescending manner as I approached the gate.
“Did any package arrive for me?” I asked, ignoring his rude question.
