The Princess, The Crown, and The Kingdom

The sunlight filtered in through the window lighting up on the figure that lay in the bed. She woke up disoriented ad confused, she clutches the velvet sheets to her naked body as she recalls with stark clarity the previous night. "The Queen died yesterday," the words echoed in the room as she stands to honor her passing. "Now thy shall proceed to the King's room to prepare for the succeeding of the crown once thy returned from thy journey to the East! Your Grace,  are you listening?" The maid asks trailing off. "I am," she said in a hushed tone. It was only hours after the Queen's passing that she was told, AGAIN, that she was being forced to marry the man who was to become the next King. She recalls the conversation she had with her father, a conversation that took place when he laid down the law "You had your chance to take the throne!" She once told her father in a scream. Why didn't you? Why? Love, he answered, and she asks What is love, an emotion or a word, What does it mean. Once upon a time, I knew a girl, vibrant and happy. Once upon a time, the girl was in love. Love she thought 'what a wonderful feeling' Little did she know there are two sides of a coin. A woman's first love can make her or break her A woman's first love can heal her but how?
