JAYADEVAN AND MANIVARNAN

Once a sage named Daya Devan went on a long journey on foot.While traveling across mountains and rivers, he met a sad youngman. Dayadevan felt something wrong.when he saw him deep in thought looking at the deep gorge in front of him. Dayadevan asked him, son who are you and why are you alone here in such a state of worry? He replied sadly, "My name is Manivarnan. I am in despair and have no money to live on." Hearing that, Jayadevan said, "If a person with intelligence and hard work needs any trouble to make money, one can make money from wind, rain and sun."    After saying this, Jayadevan continued his journey. After hearing his words and thinking about something for a while, Manivarnan also returned from there.         Time has passed. On his way back after his long journey, Dayadevan again met Manivarnan. Manivarnan was passing by in a horse cart Then.When Manivarnan saw Dayadevan, he stopped the horse and got down. He said to him, "Guru, the advice you gave me years ago has made me rich today. I was in a mess without money I earned money by cutting trees that had fallen in the wind. During the hot summer, i collected sweet fruits from the forest and sold them to earn money. During the rainy season, made straw umbrellas and took them to the market for trade.Today I have no problem with money. Dayadevan blessed him and said, "Don't you understand that if you have intelligence and effort, no one can be disappointed? Let your story of success in life be a lesson to other youths too. Later, Dayadeva and Manivarnan parted ways.
